Joined in with a regular folky group gathering who were rehearsing for a š»š„cĆØilidh. Very pleased to be able to jam in with their tunes and reciprocate with a few of our šøsongsš¶. Room temp perhaps a touch cold to be sat just watchingš¤. But, good beer, helpful staff and friendly folk. Thanks allš

5 stars for the food, it's been great every time. I would definitely recommend the cod burger and the italian pizzas. You can tell it's all freshly made with quality ingredients.

Myself and Friends poped into here for a lovely meal on Saturday (26/2/22) for lunch on our way to Aberystwyth. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. I was able to get around easily in my Wheelchair.

Wanted to give it more as owners & staff were nice. Why only 2 Stars. Room was ok, however I had the room above the bar and after a long day, the music till late was tiresome as very loud. Noise from patrons outside was as clear as day.We were going to eat out but after chatting to the chef/ owner we decided to eat in. Food was very nice and a pleasant surprise. However Sunday morning came and no breakfast or staff about. Ended up leaving room key on table in yard.Disappointed there was no breakfast, but we survived found a nice cafe instead. Is it a hotel, we'll no. It's a bar and restaurant that doesn't sell food on a Sunday. It's a shame, but current owner just need to up their game a little and they will have a gold mine.

We booked for an overnight stay, it was advertised as a hotel !! As soon as we walked into the courtyard of the pub!! We were greeted by tables full of empty glasses and ash trays overflowing with fag buts and in general the whole place was in disrepair, dirty needed several buckets of water and bleach. We called the barmaid out to clear and clean the table before we sat down ( who didnāt look to impressed that we had asked )Before we booked in we had a couple of drinks and ordered a meal which to be fair was nice. The real nightmare followed !! when we got up To our room which Iāve got to say where the worst accommodation Iāve ever stayed in And I mean horrible almost squalid !! decades of woodchip painted over and over !!stained carpet and bed bases, stained everywhere !!THEN the music in the pub below got louder and when I say loud I mean LOUD!! It might as well have been a rave going on down there as you can imagine we had to tolerate this till 11 only for that to be replaced but the shouting and screaming in the street below of punters leaving. This is not a hotelThis is not a restaurantItās a pub/club restaurant out Squalid dirty rooms out upstairs. Donāt let this happen to you ?Avoid!!!!

Tried to get a table at 7. Was told 7.30 would suit them better. So OK. After arriving and getting a table we waited 15min for getting a menu and ordering some drinks. By 8 we were well ready to order some food. Got told they check in with us in 15min because they had a table of 11. Couldn't even order some starters to nibble on. 8.15 came and went without them showing. So told a passing waitress we would be getting food somewhere else. As the wait was getting too long for us. She just said OK and walked off. Drinks and food are over priced. Will never go here again. If you reserve a table the least you expect is to be able to order something. Food might be good but never had a chance to order anything. And we were starving. No masks being worn by any of the staff. Not following any guidelines.Went to the kebab on the way home as we knew they had fast service. Always good food at Oscar den.

Booked in here to stay away for an extra night after staying in a cottage for 2 nights. We needed somewhere dog friendly as we had our puppy with us. It was Ā£110 which we were gob smacked at but again, needed somewhere dog friendly. We were also charged an extra Ā£5 for the dog which wasnāt stated on the booking. To say it was horrendous doesnāt come close. Promotes that itās a restaurant, we arrived on a Sunday wanting food to which they stated they donāt do food on a Sunday. The noise was unbearable. There were people screaming, singing and shouting until all hours of the morning. Itās based right on the road so all the traffic feels like itās passing through the bedroom. The TV didnāt work, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the towels for the shower were the size of a flannel.Seen a previous comment saying this isnāt a hotel, itās a pub with bedrooms and thatās hit the nail on the head.Ended our weekend away awfully and we will not be returning. I also urge no one else to put themselves through it either.

Room lovely and clean. Staff friendly and polite. Let down by patrons sitting outside the pub screaming and shouting, seeming to believe to have a good time you need to shout your mouth off as loudly as possible. This was at half six in the evening so hardly late at night. Room windows could do with double glazing to cut down the noise from the regulars drinking. The room would have enticed me back but the gobby lot out the front certainly wonāt!

We ate two meals with two pints. Very reasonable and extra large portions. Food was really good, freshly made and served in a friendly atmosphere. Great chat with the family owners. Top job, would recommend highly.
