4 stars because Sunday lunch was very nice and very hot ( i hate tepid food ). We called in on route from north wales to west. Brilliant that our dog was allowed. Asked to eat outside as we noticed a marquee and having a long run could feed and water our dog. Ideal really but the table was really grubby. Used hand wipes to clean it down before the food came. Hope the black lion reads the review because it let them down.

Superb place to eat and drink. Excellent food, well presented and flavoursome. The staff were very personable, professional and attentive. I would highly recommend The Black Lion and we will be sure to visit again.

Perfect stop on our way down south. Sat in the beer garden in the sun. Perfect space for our dog. Food came very fast and it was delicious. Great place :-)

Lovely beer garden peaceful and clean. Great food! Really nice staff who have got the time to talk to you.My husband had a lovely birthday meal and drink.We call here often as it's our favourite place to eat out in this area.Reasonable prices. Good pub food. Just what we like!

Rarely i fail to finish my meal, but The Black Lion Burger beat me. Food was great, happy and polite survice, would definatley reccomend

Had the Sunday roast with family! It was delicious and perfectly cozy place to have our lunch after our time at the beach.

I decided to pop in here for a bite and a pint.Nice pub, nice staff, beer okay.Decided to go for the homemade steak & ale pie, top of pie was rather anaemic but it was okay.As you can see it’s not a real pie, just a filling with a top 🤔

Was served by the Irish gentleman,he was very polite and courteous. The facilities are very well looked after and it's a lovely pub. Beer garden is dog friendly with plenty of water for them. 2 sets of swings and slides to keep the youngsters happy. Definitely would recommend A++
