Traditional Welsh hotel, carvery Sunday roast, reasonably priced, great ales and dog friendly, nice staff 🙃

Lovely pub/restaurant/ B&B, fantastic food, Stowford press cider, and the location is perfect, directly opposite Quay West Haven Holiday Park in New Quay West Wales so good we have booked 3 months in advance for our next visit in September, bit of advice book you're table in advance they go very quickly 😀

Booked for the Sunday carvery, five adults and two children. Generous helpings and choice of meats which were delicious and well cooked good choice of vegetables to accompany these.Just about found room for desserts. So pleased with the food we booked again immediately for an evening meal for our last night.Would highly recommend the Cambrian.

Never stayed in this hotel, however we had an evening meal of cod and chips and gammon steak with salad and chips ,both meals were very nice, all areas are nice and clean with a good service, the only downside of the visit was that we had a meal in the lounge area because we had our small dog with us, was that the door in the lounge to the toilets area was continuously banged very loud when staff and customers went through it,it was very annoying.some sort of door controller device is needed.

Just dropped In for dinner with no booking but they found room for us ...food and service was excellent... Exceeded my expectations.

Been for a meal tonight it was beaut. Recommend this restaurant. Sadly the only photo I got of my meal was this one. I had the chicken breast in ham cheese and leek sauce. Think photo says it all

Can't find much to fault with this brilliant place. Staff very friendly and professional from the moment we arrived. Very Covid safe, masks on all customers and staff, disposable gloves for customers when collecting our Carvery (Sunday lunch), sign in on arrival and sanitiser for hands. Drinks ordered and arrived really quickly, as soon as the customers in front of us were served their carvery we were shown straight up, no messing around, a well run one way system, felt very safe. Serving staff were very helpful and great with our 3 young children, so very family friendly too. Good food, well prepared and good choice. Delicious turkey and beef roasts, pork was on offer too but can't speak to that one. Great varied selection of vegetables all nicely done and fresh out on the servery. Plenty of sauce choices too and the gravy was to die for. A couple of minor faults were that the roast potatoes were a little under cooked and the desert portion of Arctic roll a little on the small side, but not enough to detract from an overall delicious meal. We had pre-booked our table as walk ins aren't possible at the moment and we were given 2 hours to enjoy our meal, we never felt rushed. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable meal out in these still strange and awkward times, congratulations Cambrian Inn on pulling it off, we will be back next time we visit New Quay.

I can't see how anyone could not fall in love with this place. Although we didn't stay at the hotel, we heard lots of great things about the rooms, and myself and my five friends quickly became regulars at The Cambrian bar and restaurant the week we visited New Quay. The bar and restaurant areas are great, very clean, very homely, and within minutes of walking in you feel like you are at home. It also has a great outside area too. The food - wow - we had breakfast and evening meals most nights, its so good and so well priced. The staff make it what it is. Steve, Etienne, and Shannon really looked after us when we were there, and treated us as friends, as they did with all the guests who were there. This is a great, traditional venue, exactly what a Great British Bar and Restaurant should be. We will 100% be visiting New Quay again, and one of the main reasons is The Cambrian. Only difference is we'll be staying next time! Absolutely love the place. A must visit for anyone in town.

Just visited this establishment, with pretty limited access for my daughter who is wheelchair bound due to cancer treatment. So lots of struggling to get her in. The waiting staff were very nice and not a problem, however my daughter ordered ribs, they came out as very small in size and once bitten into were fatty and not up to scratch. Normally when you raise an issue with staff you don't expect firstly to be asked to pay for the replacement, then have the chef arrive at the table and be full on confrontational. She was aggressive vile and point blank dismissed our claims and stormed off to get her boss. He then arrived arms crossed stating JUST EXACTLY IS THE ISSUE. Once he quickly realised that his chef was at fault began to be more approachable. Although his manner too was initially aggressive. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this restaurant, yes some of the staff are fine, but i think that any issues regarding the food seem to be met with hostility and any one who is vulnerable would be intimidated by these people. I think there's a reason its up for sale, a final holiday night completely ruined by a disgusting level of service, not even 1 star is acceptableShow less
