We went here on Christmas Eve at lunchtime and what an utter disappointment. I ordered the nut roast Christmas dinner which was mediocre at best. Portion of 'nut roast' was 2ins x 2ins x 1/2 in, over cooked, rock hard and tasteless. The vegetables came plated and consisted of 2 sprouts, 3 carrots, 2 roast potatoes and a few boiled potatoes - and the price was £14.95. My husband's plated turkey dinner was better, but portions small. Total cost for the 2 meals, a glass of wine and a lime and soda was £42.00. The one saving grace were the excellent staff, who were very pleasant and efficient.

Absolutely loved my five night stay at The Glengower!Everything about The Glengower Hotel is perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was really spacious, clean, and bed comfy. 24/7 night access was also really useful for the occasion that you return to the hotel later than expected. The breakfast was definitely one of the highlights. The “Full Welsh” was delightful and was served with high quality, locally sourced ingredients. My favourite, in particular, were the Rob Rattery ‘Welsh Pork and Leek Sausages’.I was initially concerned about parking, but was able to locate a space along North Road. Parking was definitely not an issue, so I would not let this put you off staying at The Glengower.Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I have never been made feel so welcome. Thank you to everyone at The Glengower for making my stay memorable.

Beautiful outlook on sea front, nice indoor setting, traditional pub feel. Food was nice, went for burger and chips, which was plentiful and tasty.Staff were warm and welcoming.

Fantastic location overlooking the promenade in Aberystwyth. A little pricier than we'd normally pay, but the menu is more than just your normal pub-grub fayre, and the service was first rate, so the price wasn't much of an issue at all. Would definitely eat here again.

Lovely place for food. Very friendly and helpful staff couldn't do enough for us. The dogs were welcome inside and straight away a member of staff offered water for the dogs. Food was delicious not one complaint about it 😋 price was alittle expensive but well worth the money

Pleasant staff, made us feel quite welcome. We had a window table and were able to look out to sea, a pleasant scene despite the grey sky. Our meal took a while to be served, reason I give the 4 stars.

Looking to stay in Aberystwyth this is a great place to stay. We had a sea view room at the front with fantastic views of the sea from a large bay window. The room was lovely clean bed and bathroom the same. Very comfortable with tea coffee, fan, toiletries and much more. The staff could not do enough for you all very well mannered polite and cheerful. The pub is a perfect place to have a drink or food which is excellent. A very good choice at breakfast very well laid out and cooked to a great standard. When we visit the area again I will definitely stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Aberystwyth .

Lovey meal, great range of vegan options, staff very helpful with dietary requirements. Coconut rice pudding was delicious- so nice to have vegan options on the desert menu, so many places don't have any.

A nice clean establishment, nice rooms with a pleasant friendly staff and good atmosphere, good selection of beers. Comfortable in every way..... Everyone I met that evening stated that the food was excellent and I have no reason to doubt it (our party of four had planned to eat out)Good breakfast with plenty of tea and coffee. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
