Lovely spot on Aberaeron Harbour. Warm welcome, good service and delicious food. The harbour is very popular in tourist season so allow plenty of time to find a parking spot

Just had lunch there today, what can I say about the service, we’ll we were contemplating leaving after we had waiting for someone to take our order for both drinks and food and then our order was taken then another good 5 minutes or so for drinks to appear followed by another 15 minutes for the food by which 40 minutes had gone by since our arrival. The food, thankfully that put a smile on our faces, plentiful and very tasty. We had been recommended The Hive, we could for the food element but service left a lot to be desired.

Vibrant place. Quite busy and popular. Famous for ice cream. Love the ambience. Place is nice, staff is very friendly. Services are nice. Some options for vegans. View is nice from the top floor. Enjoyed the food and dessert.

Sat outside in lovely sunshine for a late lunch. Very polite and friendly staff. Menu was quite varied and reasonably priced given the location right in the heart of the harbour. We chose two different types of burgers and a bowl of mussels. All meals were served with very nicely cooked and flavoured chips. Food wasn't rushed out but not a long wait either, served on well heated plates/bowls. All dishes were well presented and tasted great but the mussels were exceptional. Could have done with a slice of crusty bread to soak up all the white wine sauce. Highly recommend.

While they had lost our reservation for Sunday lunch, they managed to fit us in, which was great. It was bustling, and the service was frustratingly slow, taking about 45 minutes to get drinks. Food was reasonable, although I'm used to getting a finger bowl when eating moules. Sticky toffee pudding could have done with either a bit more ice cream or cream. Chocolate milk shake was good

Incredible food and a lovely peaceful location in the harbour. The honey ice cream is delicious too and you get such a big serving. Highly recommended.

Visited The Hive while we were in the local area. Service was generally OK but slow at times and not as attentive as we would have liked. Great selections of drinks (including milkshakes!) so can't complain there. However my main meal was a let down I had the Slow cooked Welsh beef brisket and I was bitterly disappointed, it was dry and lacked any real flavor, myself and friends all said it tasted like corned beef as I thought maybe I was being fussy. Certainly not worth it in my opinion.I did comment when asked how it was and was told "sorry to hear that", by no means was I expecting any action however I feel that the Kitchen should know to improve for next time.Pudding was OK but had to wait for nearly 15 mins before anyone took our order, and when it was taken it then took over 15 mins for 2 sundaes. Although that being said the size of a single sundae would easily cater for 2 people as they are huge.

Fabulous food and great cocktails.Decor very modern but still settle enough to be part of beautiful marina that Hive is based on.

Excellent ice cream. Good range of flavours too. There is apparently an inside as well as an outside section but we were there on a sunny day and we say outside job done nearby benches. You have a good range of choice of you want tub or cone, whippy or scoop. At the time I went 3 schools were £5 but the scope were generous and the cover was large.Would definitely go back!
