The White Horse in Ceredigion

Very disappointing after reading all the lovely reviews. Went there for Sunday lunch and ordered a roast dinner. We had to wait for more then 40 min for it to arrive and it only arrived after we asked where it was. Poor considering it would have been pre prepared and just needed dishing up.When the food arrived it looked like it had been standing in a warmer for a bit as the mashed potatoes were not edible, the Turkey was very dry and the gravy was so overpowering you could not taste the rest of the food. We tried The White Horse as we were going to book for a party of 14 but now we need to find somewhere else.

Good food, good service, friendly door staff, decently priced drinks. Only drawback from five stars was scruffy walls on the toilets, broken pool table upstairs and when they had a DJ doing a set the music was very loud even if the pub had few people in.

Large windows to two sides made this pub inviting and inside it was light and airy but with a great pub ambience. Music in the background was unobtrusive and if your thing is sport then the large screen TVs afforded good views of what was on. Friendly, attentive staff took our food & drinks orders and the service was prompt. Good selection of beers available and there was an extensive menu. Quality of the food was excellent. Definitely coming back here again when we're next in Aberystwyth.

Great food and even better atmosphere! Our dog absolutely loves it there! Beth was lovely and took care of during our whole stay! Couldn't be happier :)

Do Not Come Here.So me and a group of friends have decided to come to Aberystwyth for a nice drink in a new place, we have tried a few pubs in the area such as the Vale and decided to try this establishment, we arrived at about 20:00 and upon our arrival we were immediately stopped by the barman with glasses who said to my friend that he had been too drunk and he wasn’t going to serve him. Now my friend was disgusted by the way the barman treated him, He has Vascular Necrosis and as a result of that he walks with a hobble, when we turned up to the place he was the one in front and the barman immediately set his sights on him and decided that he wasn’t going to serve us. this is very poor treatment of customers and even though we tried explaining it to said barman he wasn’t having any of it and after that mess we just up and left, This is a very poor treatment of customers and The fact your barmen didn’t even care that he wasn’t drunk but in fact had a degrading hip resulting in his hobble is absolutely disgusting, I will be telling all of my friends to avoid this pub as they do not care about disabilities and would rather ignore the facts and stop serving people who would rather just have a pint, Very poor treatment sorry we will not be coming here again

Just had another enjoyable evening at The White Horse in Aberystwyth, our 2nd in 3 weeks. Have to compliment the staff on their friendly service, excellent food and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

Very fast service with friendly staff, food was very good. Lots of well placed TVs with coverage of great sports, and the music wasn't overpowering so you could actually hold a conversation. All kept covid safe but didn't even feel like it! Would give 6 stars if I could

Went here to celebrate new year. Had a lovely time. Was very relaxed and the staff we're very attentive. And very chatty and made us all feel very relaxed. Love Aberystwyth anyway . Will be back soon to visit!

Excellent pub with a good menu even a choice for vegans wich is good theses day as my daughters are vegan tho they were not with us on this visit.Lovely clean pub good service and they were cleaning tables as people left. Only thing toilets are up stairs not sure if they have a lift or not but I didn't ask anyone put I managed OK.Will definitely recommend and have a return visit soon.

Food was amazing!!! And the cocktails was propa nice. Staff was absolutely great as well. Fair play go white horse
