We came yesterday and wanted fish and chips by the sea. Found this lovely place with an eating area on the beach. I loved it, got to look at the sea while I ate lunch. Perfect, clean and friendly. The small fish and chips is a good size too.

How this place hasn’t featured on a best beach pubs in Wales article I don’t know! Amazing setting and good drinks, local Snowdonia cask beer was served to perfection.

Set on the high Street but behind you is the sea and beach. It's a dog friendly pub which is great for us. You can sit on the lower terrace or the upper terrace, which when open has a bar up there as well. We opted to sit inside, and first to be served was our dog with a bowl of water. Staff so friendly. We opted for simple fish and chips but a small portion. Food was good, service good. Price wise, very reasonable at £7.95..Opted for a pint of Stowford cider and the whole lot was just over £20. All in all a nice place to drop in

We have been to the Vic a few times and there was a problem every single time. It's such a lovely place, but bar staff are often rude. We were told twice that we couldn't eat as there were too many orders (we only asked for a bowl of chips with our drinks). On another visit a member of staff said the kitchen was closed. When we asked another member of staff (as people next to us were being served), she happily took our order. Another time they said they'd stop taking orders at 6pm. It's really bizarre. It would also help if staff were more courteous when turning customers down.I'm happy to book a table for a 'big' meal, but I have never been to a pub where I'd have to book in advance to get a bowl of chips with my beer. It's a shame, as we live close by and would visit frequently if it wasn't such a drama every time.I also wouldn't leave a bad review based on a single visit/bad experience, but this happened five times now.

Great pub right on the ocean. Shame there's not more like this 🙂

Great home cooked style food. Caters for gluten and dairy free customers. Nice environment to eat indoors and beautiful location to have a drink on the beach terrace afterwards

Food was lovely, however one particular member of bar staff not very friendly which could ruin it for the rest especially as my mum couldn't carry drinks upstairs due to a hip op.
