Best fish and chips in town. I regularly come by and chat with the guys that run the place. They're all upstanding people and are a pleasure to interact with. The food is great as well and super reasonably priced. Honestly it's a great place and they deserve whatever business you're willing to kick their way.

Looking at the last few reviews we didn’t feel particularly confident on using this fish and chip shop, but as we are on holidays and this was our nearest we gave it a try.Really glad we did. Freshly cooked and nice and hot. Beautiful piece of battered cod and lovely chips. Would definitely recommend.

Just had a lovely meal from this fish and chip shop. We're staying in Borth where it seems just about everything including the two fish and chips shops are closed, but a quick search on Google and we found this one 4 miles away. Well worth the trip, and still hot when we got back to the caravan. Would recommend.

I must be honest and say that despite this being the closest chip shop to Ynyslas that was open, and with parking available, this was one of the most nondescript chippies I've ever been to. The guys were friendly and helpful and I feel bad to say it, but the chips were pale and virtually tasteless. The burgers ordered for the kids at £4 each were very small and definitely not worth the money when you can pay £1 for the same thing at McDonald's, or get one in the hot counter for £2.50 at CKs over the road. I had a veggie burger which was so dense in texture it was like a savoury version of an old fashioned bread pudding! I was so looking forward to some greasy, tasty, well deep-fried chips, having travelled 10miles for the privilege, I was very disappointed. Maybe I just got them on a bad day :-(

Just wasted over £23, chips awful, reheated. I've never tasted chips so poor! Fish just as bad, overcooked and dry. I will never purchase from here again. They obviously don't know how to run a real British chippy by the amount of paper wrapped around the takeaway. 5 pieces of paper and not individually wrapped. One star is too good.

Wrong order despite it being repeated three times and confirmed by the staff. Couldn't eat it because they gave me non-veggie when veggie was ordered. Staff not wearing masks despite it still being legally required in Wales for staff. Portions of chips were much smaller than elsewhere in Aber: large here would be small in town. Unimpressive. Left hungry without the pie.

I must say the fish and chips in had here last week was one of the best I've ever had. Superb crispy batter and the chips were perfect. The service was also brilliant during a busy time. The policies in place in regards to covid were also top notch. Diolch yn fawr, will be calling back when next in the area.

Among the worst I have tried to eat in 45 years. Very disappointed. Sorry to say this. My reviews tend to be too positive normally. My wife would have given it a 0 because you could only eat some of it, just. And we didn't have food poisoning. Peel off the soggy, greasy batter and eat the 10 mm thick piece of stale fish. Eat half the chips, because you are hungry, until you feel sick and then try to feed gulls with the other half.I saw 4.5 on the reviews score and drove straight there. Soggy chips and greasy fish. Made me feel sick. Fry at the correct oil temperature....it's not rocket science.
