This is definitely a local/proper pub…. So it’s got the right atmosphere and ideal if you’re round the corner… add it on to your walk!Great choice of drinks, and had a premium lager.Food, nice amount of choice, so it stands a chance a lot is cooked from fresh!We ordered gammon and a lasagne. Nicely presented, great separate bowl for the veg! Always really tasty!The main man, is great, very welcoming!The waitresses need some more training 😭 they’re running round, but there’s no comms, so you either get asked how everything is 3 times, or you get left to your own devices.Our waitress, tried to take the plates while we were still eating (twice).No offer of dessert, but the waitresses looked fed up and worn out, so we gave up trying to flag someone down!Not our first visit, won’t be our last… but drinks service far outweighs restaurant!

Called in for family meal today. Food was excellent.and good choice on the menu. Prices were reasonable. Service was good friendly efficient and not waiting too long. Would definitely recommend. Will be calling again .

Visited this little gem while on a break nearby. Great beer, food was really good. The shepherd's pie was amazing, staff really attentive and friendly.Really good to find a pub like this, when we are back in Wales we will return for sure

Lovely pub monty real was good , very good communication from behind the bar, sadly the language from two elderly men ,which is not needed ruins it , in my opinion something should have been said from landlord or landlady

Stayed here, rooms are clean and comfortable. Meals were great and beers well priced.

Had Sunday lunch there was lovely. Good service . Food was nice and hot. Only criticism is roast potatoes was very hard, but didn't spoil the meal

Amazing meal! We had pie if the day and salmon and I couldn’t recommend them more! Piping hot, tasted fresh and great quality! This is a must have place to visit!! Staff were superb and very friendly also! They also accommodated for my girlfriends nut allergy, more so than I did as I ordered the pecan ice cream for dessert!
