Brecon Tap in Powys

Lovely choice of beers, food was very tasty and filling. Staff were helpful and hard working. We shall go back again next time we are in Brecon.

Great place, always clean and tidy with great food and the best Mocha in town...and there is some good competition for that accolade. They get five stars though because the staff there are just so consistently friendly and accommodating, top marks. Good clean toilets too and they have a couple of outside tables.

Absolutely incredible, freshly cooked food to order. Delightful staff and vibe. Traditional pub food with a modern twist which is hands down thanks to the chef who puts his heart into the meals. Wonderfully delighted.

Popped in for a meal. The beer was good although the staff didn't know their beers. We had fish and chips which was pretty poor and the chips were very disappointing. The sausage stew was okay .Loos were not very clean and no loo roll.Best thing was the beer!

Along with my wife we were really looking forward to eating here after reading all the positive reviews!However, we turned up for our booking and stood at the bar for ten minutes waiting to be served/seated, and were completely ignored by all the staff ....made worse by the fact no one else was waiting to be served at the time!Shame...the takeaway from Changs was delicious though!

Really enjoyed our lunch today. Pies were very tasty and clearly using quality ingredients. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. There were only a few beers on offer and only a limited amount of starters but that didn't put us off.

Lets say 3.5 stars ! As a bar it really is like been in your own living room. Its nice and i Love this "paint a sheep" for charity thing on the wall !! Sunday lunch was ok.... THis is after All Brecon and its lucky just to find anything open !! Beer choice was excellent . Main courses not bad at all and good value .Starters need a little effort . "Vibe" really nice . I would serve 1 x less veg , save money and use the time to refine a few things .

We accidentally stumbled across Brecon Tap (we usually do a research) in Brecon and we were absolutely amazed by the standard of the food and available ales they offer. We had chickens & mushroom and peppered beef pies, they are very delicious and wholesome. Fully recommend the place for the food, selection of ales and the friendliness of the staff.

Excellent meal! Pies were delicious - highly recommend the steak and ale and the chicken. Staff were lovely - we hadn't booked a table on a Friday night and they squeezed us in and hungry tourists after climbing the Pen y Fan that day.
