Had a few meals here recently and can't fault them at all. Portion size is amazing and good prices too. Friendly pub and definitely recommend. Had gammon last time. Was so tasty. Will be back very soon.

Great proper pub with Juke box, pool table and darts board. Would recommend to any travelling football supporters visiting Rhayader as you get a warm welcome with a wide range of drink at a very reasonable price. Looking forward to returning to Rhayader with Abertillery Bluebirds next season

Great pub with dining area in the centre of town. Excellent choice of pub type food available at lunch times (12 -2.30) and in the evenings. Dogs welcomed in the main bar (7 present including ours) and the friendly staff made this a place we should like to return. Very good choice of beers with both local cask beers and national keg ales & lagers available.Well worth a visit but can get busy at popular times.

The external view of this pub is not a great one and the interior is a bit shabby, but the welcome was warm, the beer choice and quality good and the food very good indeed. We had, between us, griddled brie, soup, fish and chips and mac and cheese and we were all happy. All for a shade over £28. They have a big screen and a pool table in one room and the toilets were clean and in good order. Well worth a visit.

We had dinner here on the way home from a trip to South Wales. It was the night of the Euros final so as busy as was allowed (COVID) but they had one table left so we grabbed it quick. The food was really good, service excellent, staff and customers really friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

They do try hard, and had a good plate presentation but I'm afraid the food it's of low quality, maybe because of not many customers. I bought a burger with curly fries ... the burger was not good at all, frozen burger you can buy at Iceland and the curly fries were soaked with oil... they cut the meet in half and used grated cheese in between and on top....😳😲 I do feel for them, but still... it cost £5 for a mince meat and you can make 5 burgers out of it.... we paid £10 per burger with s handful of curly fries... so please, try harder. The 3* are for presentation, not for the quality of the food.
