Castle Inn in Powys

Spotlessly clean rooms with comfortable bed. Varied and interesting menu incl Chinese and Thai. Beware that hot means extremely hot with the Thai green curry.

Food was first class. Try the King Pie, or the Thai beef curry. Best grub around👍👍

Fantastic stopover. Spotlessly clean inside and out. Friendly staff and service. Varied and interesting menu. The Thai Green curry said it was hot and it was! Had to cool mine down with milk. Pies were popular - large portion size.

Home cooked food was delicious and the service was very accommodating even providing extras when we asked. A little gem of a country pub and wished we had found it sooner. Would recommend it to anyone. Darlene and Steve.

Food was awesome and service was excellent. You will go back.

Great hospitality. We stayed for one night and had a lovely evening meal and breakfast.

A hidden gem. Such amazing food and hospitality. The Thai food is outstanding and cooked fresh by the owner. You won't be disappointed

Well-run pub with spotless accomodation and a good breakfast. Ate there in evening. Excellent varied menu of freshly-cooked dishes. This was my second stay and we'll go back there again.

Just got back from a lovely evening at the Castle Inn.Our 2nd visit there.Had beautifully cooked Thai food absolutely delicious.Must also say how spotlessly clean the place is and how lovely the staff are. Will definitely be back again.Highly recommend.

We didn't stay, but our relatives did so last Saturday 2nd. We all 4 have a very good time (Thai ) that night and the food was excellent as was the service nothing was too much trouble. However on our last night in the area some 5 days later 7th Oct we had booked a table for 7.30pm we were on time yet had to wait some 15mins for our order was taken and as the food is cooked fresh a further 20 mins to receive our lovely food. Shame the same waitress was not on duty this night as the service was slow poor and and well pretty much useless. Would not suggest a Thursday night for a meal generally!
