Moored up by the pub. Easy access from the canal over bridge no. 133. Food was delicious (monk fish loin) - large portions and hot too. Atmosphere was lively with excellent service. Would recommend!!

We visited on a run out in the car. Got there around 230. They only had pork left so I had a pork Sunday lunch and my husband a roast pork roll with chips. The food was lovely as was the lovely garden on the canal. We ate outside where there is a restricted menu.

Sunday lunch here was excellent and we could take our dog into the restaurant. Great forward thinking owners. Lovely position next to the canal with many outside tables. Great shop selling local delights.

What a lovely place! We found it by luck as we were in our way and gosh were we lucky!Super welcoming, the meal was delicious, the setting makes you wanna stay here and relax.Parking is not an issue with large area just across the road.

Lovely friendly staff and good fish n chips & scampi n chips.. calls itself a friendly FAMILY pub but a strange menu for families as Lobster, muscles and VEGAN burger are not what i call for young kids. Where is the MEAT burger ?? thats what kids love and men 😁 but as i said it was lovely food and very dog friendly too

After calling ahead that morning asking if drinks were served all day they informed me that there was a function happening but i was more than welcome to have drinks in the beer garden opposite all afternoon, we walked over an hour along the canal to arrive for some well earned drinks only to be refused due to the function saying they could serve us even after I informed them I rung earlier and they told me it was no problem..... very very annoyed with the service.

Good choice of alcohol. Mains are below or for the cost. Burgers that are Ā£15 can not consist of frozen fries, stale brioche bun and a frozen deep fried burger. No effort at all! Portions size are decent. Dessert all around were very good. Go here for a pint but if your hungry maybe try else where as it’s expensive basic pub grub

Beautiful mountain views and great food in a nice atmosphere. Also a lovely delicatessen and garden to sit out in. You can take a stroll by the side of the canal and see the barges. Highly recommended!

We visited the Coach & Horses for a pre booked Sunday lunch, we arrived a little early but was seated straight away. The place was fairly busy and there was plenty of waiter staff on hand. As I was driving I ordered myself a lager shandy which was 3/4’s lemonade, my partner ordered a white wine spritzer which she commented was fine. We skipped the starters and went straight to order the mains. The menu had plenty of choice, I ordered the turkey with stuffing and my partner ordered the beef with Yorkshire pudding. The meat was cooked fine and was ā€œjustā€ about the right amount but unfortunately we were only given a small pie dish size full of vegetables to share between us with literally one sprig of cauliflower and one sprig of broccoli to fight over. I can’t speak for my partner’s meal but what accompanied the turkey and stuffing was just a single parsnip, a few small roast potatoes and a thin cut of stuffing. There was definitely some effort made to how the plate was presented which I think contributed to the amount served but we were both left with an appetite and a little disappointed. At a price of close to Ā£15.00 per meal we didn’t feel this was good value for money for the reasons described. We asked to see the the dessert menu which had around six desserts to choose from all at a price of Ā£6.99. We decided against ordering dessert in the end favouring a sweet treat a bit closer to home on our return and avoiding being potentially underwhelmed once again. For this reason and the stingy portions we probably won’t return anytime soon. The Coach & Horses was a fair trek for us and it does feel like a destination restaurant due to its location where most would have to travel out of they’re way to visit. I think the picturesque surroundings, good parking facilities and the restaurant’s heritage is keeping the numbers healthy for now.

Lovely Sunday dinner but was disappointed that they had sold out of beef. Although the let us have a Yorkshire pudding with Turke. They had run out of Inches cider as well.Thought the dinner was expensive as you can go elsewhere 3 courses for £22.Highly recommended posh fish and chips.
