Called in for a coffee during the afternoon. Historically impressive surroundings and comfortable. Prices very reasonable and coffee very good. Lift available for those unable to manage the stairs.

Really good full breakfast, with two of everything for a reasonable price. Bacon was amazing quality, really thick.

We had a delicious mushroom pie with salad the portions are fantastic, but so is the quality. Lovely atmosphere, and very friendly staff. A fab day out!

A lovely and spacious café upstairs in an old court room. Cooked breakfast was excellent (although the baked beans were "touching" other food, which I know some friends don't like - personally I prefer it to having them in a pot where they're hard to get out). Sausages, bacon and black pudding were all top notch, and coffee decent.We visited during COVID restrictions, and felt very safe in here due to the spaciousness and precautions taken.

Great location & reasonable service. We went there for breakfast & the portions were very generous and well cooked but the food is only transport cafe or cafeteria quality. The bread served is cheap sliced white and the sausages were cheap too. I have no problems with this type of food (and it was very cheap) but I can't help feeling that it should move a bit more upmarket. Its next door to a popular bakery and opposite two very good butchers so why not charge more & use their products. Just my thoughts but anyway don't let it stop you going there for a full English/Welsh breakfast 🙂

A little gem of a cafe. Salads are amazing and always a good selection of main meals and cakes to choose from.
