Excellent food, the flavours were outstanding and quite different to Indian cuisine. The staff were very friendly and the service was great.

Table of 5 pre booked for a Saturday night. All Currys were very quick leaving the kitchen, very tasty and variety of sides. Whole party couldn't complain and were very full by the end of the meal.Competitive prices and will be going again!

Unique tasting Gurka food cooked from fresh so can be served at different times. We tried the starters - the mince meat roll was a favourite, pakora, chicken with cheese, and the salmon which has been marinated and cooked this was very tasty. All dishes had a different depth of flavours we had never tasted before. Their Naam breads we unlike any we had ever tried before the coconut Naam with sultanas was delicious they even do a Naam with cheese. Would recommend to try if you haven't already. We booked for a lunch time on a Friday when they are open 1pm to 3pm. Restaurant is located on a ground floor. Good prices. I only gave a 4 as decor was a bit tired.

A disappointing experience from a restaurant that used to be worth a visit.Possibly the worst takeaway I've had in the last 10 years. This used to be a real go to place, but given my meal last night, its definitely a must avoid. We ordered a takeaway for 3 of us and drove to collect. The food was ready so we paid, left and drove home.Once home and unpacked the problems started:1) 1 main course was missing (mine)2) My pakoras were still raw. Cooked on the outside but raw doughy batter and undercooked onions3) None of the usually sauces/accompaniments with starters. The elements of the meal available I shared with the others were flavourful enough, and hot. However, to add insult to injury, my daughter has today been very ill with diarrhea.Very disappointing.

Great personal service. I had 2 courses, the onion bajis were very different and I liked the tomato sauce. I had the Gurka chicken curry which had good flavour and a bit of heat. The okra side dish was tasty and a good way to add veg. Yummy.

So, so disappointing... Arrived at 5.45pm today, last day of our holiday in Brecon. (2/2/22) the waiter completely disinterested. We know Nepal, so l tried to be sociable and friendly by asking about the art work on the walls.... he wasn't remotely interested in interaction. We'd ordered starter and main by 5.50pm....but by 6.45 we'd only just got our starter. All the kitchen staff were sitting on the stairs chatting, nothing happening in the kitchen.... I went to the bathroom, ladies toilet had no toilet paper, no soap, no hand towels, the floor littered with used paper towels etc. We decided to leave, no sign of main course and very poor hygiene in general.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant.. The food took ages to come out, despite it being quiet in there, and then when I asked about the contents of one of the dishes, the server wasn't particularly helpful. The starters were quite nice, but the mains we ordered (2 vegetarian curry dishes) were very bland and had no spice at all, and contained different vegetables to what was stated on the menu. It said on the menu we would be asked how spicy we wanted the dishes, but we weren't, so rather than default to medium, they defaulted to extra mild, it seems. Definitely recommend they play some music to improve the atmosphere, as it was super quiet in there, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. Overall only thing that we were happy with was the price really, as its very affordable!

This was absolutely amazing. The dishes are very well priced. I loved every single bite. The only problem I had was that there wasn't more (The portions can be large, I just eat a lot). Honestly, the best restaurant I have been to in wales, would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a mix between Chinese and Indian food. This is 100% the place to go. The waiter was very welcoming, polite and professional. I could not recommend anywhere as much as I recommend this place. It can be spicy so watch out. The food is clearly cooked by the heart of the chefs and everything is freshly made and has fresh seasoning on it.
