Hakiki Turkish Ice Cream & Baklava in Powys

I saw this place on Instagram and wanted to come with my friends !! We ordered the chocolate halva AND I FELL IN LOVE !!! Best Ice cream and BEST STAFF ! 100000% coming back . They even talked to us abt our day and I thought it was mega sweet :3

The staff helped me and my family pick flavours and were soo WELCOMING !!! They also dealt professionally with a group of aggressive customers by waiting for the kids to leave. Love it !

Oh how I wish this place was open year-round instead of just being a pop-up for the summer. Their baklava ice cream sandwich with saffron, pistachio and rose ice cream is their standout - but I've also tried their coffee, pistachio and orange blossom flavours and they are excellent too.

The Baklawa Sandwich is delicious. It’s on the sweet side obviously but if you’ve got a sweet tooth and no regards towards developing type 2 diabetes, you definitely need to try it. The vanilla ice cream compliments it so well.

We got the Baklava ice cream and it was really nice. We chose Iranian pistachio and hazelnut ice cream and both choices were solid. It is not too sweet and the ice cream really compliments the baklava. It is in a great location although seating is limited. The issues are that the baklava is not served warm which would be a game changer and the price point of £7.50 which is quite expensive for what you are getting. Good thing to try but only wished the baklava was warm. The place is also super cute

Ohhh Myyy Goddd…its my go to dessert place in town..best part is a wide range of flavours are available to grab at waitrose too. A must try place if you are ice cream lover and want something refreshing and great combinations. I try diff flavours everytime and all are top notch. Well priced with generous portions.

Was super excited to try this place out but sadly it didn't meet up to all the hype and expectation. The shop is pretty small and dingy, not a lot of space to sit down inside. The baklava ice cream sandwich is a great concept and tasted pretty good but they've missed a trick by not serving it hot/warm! The ice cream flavours are very different but none of them blew my mind when I tried them and nothing overly stood out to me!

Update: 24 Aug. I visited in 2019 and just revisited today. This place is just as divine as when I first tried it. I had the orange blossom and pistachio with sour cream and cherry. When I say you can taste the flavours, you can taste the flavours! I can't wait to go back and try their sundae. 😍Cannot wait to return to this place. The flavour profile is divine. Add pashmak to your ice cream if they still do it!

Really liked the baklava and ice cream combo was amazing and lived up the hype the one star miss was it was very pricey!

Finally tried the Baklava sandwich.. and it was sooo good! Also ordered the vegan hazelnut ice cream to go with it I haven’t had such creamy vegan Ice-cream before- you can’t even tell the difference✨ Only downside is I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was (£7), I feel like £6 would have made more Sense.. Will deffo come back tho :)
