Local and good value, but sole staff was frazzled!

Stopped here for lunch good food and the local people in the cafe are very friendly.If you want good home cooked food stop here

Popped in for a drink during a walk of the area.The member of staff was very friendly when serving us.

Just moved to the area - me and my wife felt at home in this cafe - lovely lady served us very honest - we had the veg soup with bacon and cheese and a simple sausage sandwich - 2 ginger beers , everything was beautiful - cant wait to go back and buy some jams and chutneys which look fantastic - all with the added bonus of a post office on site! Lovely little place to just have a coffee n watch the montgomery scene if you so wished❤👍

An interesting experience. The proprietors are refreshingly honest and grounded, offering a basic cuisine but the most delicious whole cakes. Personally I enjoyed the banter but a more sensitive soul may struggle

Small but extremely friendly, and very kindly fitted me in for a takeaway coffee and brownie. Very dog friendly, good value prices. Worth the detour from the main road to take a break here rather than Welshpool.

We are on holiday near Montgomery and came to the village for lunch and a walk. Most of the restaurants were either busy or closed so we spoke to the lady in Ivy House Cafe and we were told she had 2 tables where she could seat our party of 7 and to come back in 10 mins. We went back a few minutes later to wait to be told she'd given the table back to 2 customers who had left an hour before!! She was rude and not very apologetic even though we'd booked. She didn't really look like she knew what she was doing.We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and we will not be visiting again.If I could give no stars I would.

Excellent little tea room which doubles up as the Post Office. Home made cakes and biscuits, excellent array of teas and coffees.
