This hotel is absolutely fantastic, brilliant staff, brilliant manager, they all go out of their way to help you, we only stayed 1 night for a wedding but would most definitely return

Fabulous food!Just had a wonderful evening meal at The Lion Hotel. Gourmet dining in a lovely setting with friendly staff and sensible prices.I would highly recommend eating here.

Difficult one this. We ate there, it was very convenient and the food was excellent, no qualms at all. However, who's been watching Changing Rooms circa 1995? I know the interior decor has had a lot of comments, and it's very 'Marmite'. They've made a huge effort, but my goodness, it's shocking in my opinion. Don't let it put you off though, you'll either love it, or have a damned good laugh!

Very pleasant place to dine out in. Service and food was very good. Took advantage of early bird offer of a 20% discount on food. Always a pleasure dining here.

Absolutely beautiful food as always, and at a good price. Vegan Eton mess is to die for and the staff are attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, with friendly locals and bar staff, set in a lovely village and picturesque surroundings. The rooms were excellent and clean. If your in the area I would recommend a stay. I will be booking again when the Roger Albert Clark Rally visits hopefully in 2023.

I travelled to Berriew for a business dinner and was recommended this little Gem by a colleague.The hospitality was great, the dinner was superb and the peppercorn sauce was divine to accompany a beautiful cooked ribeye.This is a lovely little getaway in a beautiful village.I can highly recommend taking a stroll down the river, especially after breakfast!All in all,good attentive service with interesting design and artworks to feast your eyes on!

Absolutely fabulous! Beautiful rooms. The most comfy bed I have slept in for a long time. Gorgeous decor throughout. A real gem of a genuinely boutique hotel. We'll worth going out of your way for a visit.

Good food. Fish could had done with a few more minutes as batter was slightly soggy tasting, very nice homemade chips. Good prices for beer. Friendly staff. Interesting decor. Would return if in area again. And would recommend :)
