Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn in Powys

The food was good. The steak was really nice.

One of my favourite roast dinners around, friendly staff, dog friendly area, and the roast beef is to die for. Its fast becoming my regular Sunday lunch venue. HIGHLY recommend.

Nice setting, efficient service although not much is said but seriously let down by mediocre food. Unfortunately three of us had the chicken tikka curry from the specials board and it completely lacked flavour, spice and detail. Basically it was just like soup poured over chicken. Also the portion of rice was tiny and cheap rice you expect from say a student union! My sister had the pork and mash but there were no vegetables with this, which was very disappointing considering the price! You half expect this sort of food from basic and cheap pub grub but this food was expensive in a nice pub/restaurant setting. I highly recommend that the owners seriously consider working on the menu and employ a better chef where food is tasty and value for money. This place I believe would then become far more popular and inviting! Until these changes are made i will not return and recommend!

Stopped for a drink. Went to find bar and was told it was table service. Sat out front at table and noone came. Had to get up to find a waitress to order drinks and collect a menu. Drinks were brought but noone asked if we wanted to order food. Had to then get up at the end to find a staff member to pay. Toilets were clean.

Lovely place, lovely food. We sat outside enjoying a beautiful meal, there was plenty of outdoor space to sit and enjoy a drink or some food

All I can say is it looked nice from the outside as it wasn't open on a Monday lunch time (along with every other Pub in Wales it seems). The setting was lovely. Will try again on a day they decide to be open on!

Really nice ambience in a centuries old building in a lovely location on the river. The exterior had suffered a bit of storm damage but inside it's warm and welcoming. The small menu is full of fresh ingredients, the local beef burger was excellent and risotto beautifully prepared. Nantyffin chef is clearly talented, we enjoyed our lunch

Absolutely stunning food and lovely atmosphere!

Friends dinner (not pre-booked so it was great that they could fit them in). I didnt eat (Sunday Lunch) actually came out before our drinks. Friendly helpful staff, even went back for a Yorkshire pud to go with a Roast lamb dinner when requested. Dinners good with Cauliflower cheese, broccoli and carrots plus extra gravy. Only 4 stars as NO real cider which I have always associated with this lovely pub. Lots of room and nice and warm in the Marquee.
