Tad Cod in Powys

I love fish and chips, what Brit doesn’t, but I think I have experienced the best fish and chips I’ve ever had when visiting this shop in Brecon today. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter, wow, a crispy batter, very tasty and the chips were some of the best I’ve had too. We sat outside and on two occasions I heard one lad tell his mate that this was the best chippy in town. And a family walked passed and the lady said that the food here was the best around. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent fish and chips freshly cooked beautiful fish and nice crispbatter

Two of us went there for a meal and were not disappointed. The fish was lovely with a crispy batter and the chips too were great. VERY GENEROUS PORTIONS. We ate in the restaurant and were well looked after. We will certainly be going there again. Thank you.

Friendly service but food was awful, very expensive for such basic food, ordered a burger which I was charged full price for despite them not having the onions rings or salad to go inside which is advertised. Chips were also very soggy. Wouldn’t go here again

Friendly Staff who guide & communicate well, ordering system was good idea, can pay Cash or Card, food was cooked fresh & tasted good, very good covid safety in place & indoor and outdoor seating. Food Hygiene spot on as venue was clean, fresh & spacious , will definitely visit when I return to Brecon

I have been to many different fish and chip shops in different locations, and as soon as I saw tad cod I had to go in! I love their logo and the food smelt and looked amazing! I had large cod and chips and curry sauce .. honestly it’s the best fish and chips I ever had! I definitely recommend that you go in and get try their food. I can’t wait to go back, loved it!

We were hungry and looking forward to a nice cod and chips. We checked out the reviews and they looked good. In reality what we got was soggy chips and greasy battered cod. Shame.
