Quaint country pub that's modern and serves a lovely pint ! Food is nice and the American guy that runs the place is awesome

A little gem of a pub.Built of stone and tucked in defiantly on the lower slopes of the Beacons.Great Beacons walks from here.Lovely outside bar and tables for sunny daysLarge car park. Camping with facilities.Restricted opening hours in winter.

Wasted potential, beautiful scenery and on the edge of a river but the toilet facility was so bad we couldn't let our children use it, same went for the taps. And the cost had risen extravagantly - 3 years ago we took 3 tents for one night for £33, this time 1 tent for one night coat £80! Won't be going again

Nice enough camp site and the owner was friendly, but facilities are poor. There was one outdoor shower and an old porta-loo but nowhere to clean your dishes. The pub itself had an outdoor bar and served a limited but nice tasting range of drinks. The food was so-so but not worth the price paid.

A great little place, offering a limited choice of food and drink. A lively, friendly atmosphere with an outside bar. Stayed with our campervan in the car park across the road from the pub. Outside toilet and fresh water are available 24hrs if staying over. The car park leads to a lovely little field for wild camping.

Lovely pub, with campsite in an absolutely stunning spot. Access to beautiful walks all around.

Probably the most amazing pub I've been to! Wonderful, spirited and lively staff who are most welcoming to all.You have a great choice of Heineken, Heineken or Heineken.. unless you prefer Heineken 😆 I would highly recommend the Heineken!Camping is just across the road in a small location surrounded by trees. You can have campfires and there is an amazing shower facility on site as well as a toilet. As for views, you don't get much better.Surrounded by mountains and trees, with a lovely river by the side of you, it really is astounding.

As a place to get away we really couldn't have been happier with it. The campsite was tucked away in a small wooded glade next to a river and the surrounding scenery couldn't be beaten. The outdoor shower was particularly enjoyable as the water was heated nicely and offered a good contract from the drizzle on a wet day. We didn't get an opportunity to visit the restaurant for food however we did talk with the owner on a couple of occasions and he made some recommendations that really helped our trip go well. This is a good basics camping site that relies on you to make the most of it. The adult only notice on pitchup is well deserved as wouldn't be the easiest place to camp with kids. Also there wasn't any phone signal in the camp, nearest reception was up the mountain next to it. Was nice to switch off for a while.Would recommend for a weekend break or midweek getaway.

Stopped for a pint after a long and taxing walk! Sat in the beer garden in the sunshine.. We didn't eat but the burger meals that were delivered to a nearby table were well presented and looked to be very substantial..

We're staying at the camp site and having a fantastic week in the stunning Welsh countryside. The walks and road cycling routes backing onto the camp spot are stunning. The river running to the back of the camp site is perfect for washing off your toes following a day in bootsThe pub, including staff, is extremely welcoming at the end of the day!The camp site is dog friendly.Lighting a camp fire is welcomed! The sound of running river water helps rock you to sleep. Not sure you can ask for much more!!
