Stopped by for lunch as we loved the look of the pub from the road and were very surprised. The pub/restaurant is beautiful inside as well, the staff were lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. We had the beef roast and waffles and both dishes were very tasty and high quality ingredients. Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Review of the restaurant: super charming pub/restaurant. Slightly chaotic to be honest, but in a good way, all very friendly. Essential to book, and we saw lots of people turned away (and do mention if you have dogs and if they're large or small!).It's not fine dining of course - and there were crowds of locals in and out in the early evening. And you wouldn't feel out of place in hiking kit. Friendly and chatty atmosphere. The food was lovely: classic pub food done well (and the board giving the local source of meats boded well).

Lovely traditional pub. Good selection of ale's. Nice choice for veggies, vegans and gluten free. Friendly bar and waiting staff. Definitely book ahead as it can get busy.

This is such a lovely pub/restaurant. We had done a lot of walking during the day and got soaked to the bone, all we wanted was a nice hot meal in a friendly pub with a log fire and that's exactly what we got! The lady that waited our table went above and beyond; the second my glass was empty she would ask if I wanted a top up. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff were welcoming and it was a huge bonus that our dog was welcome too. We will definitely go back here when we're in the area again.

We visited tonight for food and had a really good meal. We visited quite a long time ago and think the food has definitely improved. Couple of options for veggies/vegans on the restaurant menu, I opted for the vegan pie which was delicious. Staff were really friendly too. Great selections of ales and cider, and nice friendly atmosphere. Definitely would recommend.

Called in on the off chance of an early Sunday lunch, had availability & we ordered a Turkey & Beef Roast. The waitress placed the Turkey down & stated ‘Pork’ l advised l’d ordered Turkey but happy to have Pork, it had a Yorkshire pudding on instead of stuffing as listed on the menu but didn’t mention this. Chef suddenly appears & confirms it was Turkey & new roll joint. No complaints from me. Partners meal had lots of beef. Only thing we noticed was we only got one pot of vegetables between us whereas other couples got a pot each, again we didn’t mind but shame as we do like our veg. Wouldn’t stop me returning

We visited this brilliant pub twice whilst staying at the adjoining campsite. The first night no food was being served, but we were made to feel so welcome that we booked a table for the next night. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the landlord who had reserved us a fantastic table by the roaring fire. Everything about this pub is just perfect - genuine welcoming hosts, greet beer, great food and genuinely friendly locals - oh and great treats for dogs! If you are in this area, don't hesitate to call in, we promise you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back!! 👍

Booked ahead for a table for 2, plus a dog. Got sat down to a very cramped table in the restaurant area. Within 2 minutes got asked to move to the pub area as they don’t allow dogs in the restaurant, even though they sat us there and saw we had a dog. We had a new starter waiter who set the table next to us but not ours. Our food came and we tried to get the attention of a waitress to get more gravy, salt and pepper but got ignored. Kept getting distracted by one of the staff taking his vape off charge by the main door every five minutes. Both our main and desserts came out one by one and not together. We both ordered the same dessert except one was considerably smaller than the other. We had to flag someone down to give us the dessert menu and order more drinks. And no one came to us for the bill so we ended up paying at the bar as we left. Plus side was the food was great. Service was terrible.

We called here for Sunday dinner after a morning's walk in the Brecon Beacons, absolutely delicious dinner in a very comfy atmosphere, staff are really attentive and professional, my one and only criticism would be that the portion was a little small for myself, but then I'm a slightly larger fella, my partner and sister however found the meal to be absolutely perfect, we will definitely be revisiting soon.To sum up, excellent meal, superb service and a wonderful setting, great job you guys 👍

Visiting on Saturday. We had two main meals. The pub is Covid complaint. It is a nice cosy well maintained pub. The menu is fairly small with 10 main dishes which focus predominantly on meat although there are 3 vegetarian options. I guess this is due to c19. Only one fish option The service was very good and food was plentiful and tasty. I would recommend and return. Good car parking in the rear. Probably best to book in advance to ensure a table. I would recommend and would return.
