Question their so called "positive" reviews given that the staff are willing to lie through their teeth rather than take honest reviews. No doubt they will chose to disrespect this review too! The review of our experience was entirely factual and our requests calm and reasonable. All you had to do was rebate money for two jacket potatoes that were recieved frozen in the middle (the real reason they were partially eaten as this is how that works you can't eat the middle first just saying).

We had such an amazing meal tonight. Food tasted unbelievable, so tasty, good quality and the teriyaki salmon main was the nicest meal I have ever eaten. Compliments to the chef, we will definetly recommend and return in the future. *****

We visited last month while we was holidaying in wales. We booked a table in advance as it was Mother’s Day.The pub/restaurant looks amazing and is a beautiful little place.The food was outstanding! Our party of 5 all said it was the best food we have ever tasted. My daughter is a vegetarian and had the mac and cheese-she said it was the best Mac & cheese she had ever had and she would travel the 4.5 hour journey from home just for the food. My son had steak which he said was cooked to perfection. Me & my parents had the rustic lamb which was absolutely delicious.This place was recommended by the owners of Lon lodges which is where we stayed for our holiday.Staff were lovely and friendly! I would 1000% go back when we visit again and would recommend this place to everyone 😊

Great food in a lovely pub in the verge of Rhayader. The portions were plentiful. Just wish they served food all day. Had to wait until 5 o'clock when we were hoping to eat at 3 on a Sunday afternoon.Small beer garden in the back yard, where the birds are always singing.Good selection of drinks and yummy roasted mixed nuts.

Great pub and I remember it from years ago unfortunately, when I feel the food was more home cooked style.Sadly it's all about gastro now with very limited seating for a drink only as all tables get reserved early. Yes of course you can use these table until diners arrive but it would be good to see an area just for regular pub folks. That said, the service is great and the staff attentive. If you have a table reserved I doubt you would be disappointed.

Love this pub! Good food and super friendly and efficient staff. We were here with a large group for dinner and had pre-ordered the food. When then people turned up at different times they were so flexible and accommodating. Thank you!

Just spent £170 on starters and mains for 6 adults and 3 children. The children meals were very good. The Black Pudding and Belly pork starters were a bit short in Belly pork pieces. However the Lamb shank was all bone and very little meat. This would have been OK but when asked if everything was OK the staff just looked at me and didn't even bother to respond when informed about the Lamb Shank. This was a great shame, as this was considered as rude not to even acknowledge my comment

This pub is totally beautiful with a great atmosphere! We were soaked right through after an amazing engagement at a beautiful waterfall and decided to pop in to dry off.When the staff got wind of our recent celebration they made it even more special with a bottle of complimentary champers and a snug warm fire. We couldn't of felt more welcome. We decided to return the day after for Sunday lunch before home to the Midlands and that didn't disappoint either! Thank you again to you all at the crown... we hope to return and see you soon

Dog friendly pub with amazing food as well as lovely attentive and welcoming staff. Our dog also approves of the food she was allowed to sample. Was recommended to us by a friend who lives locally and if we come back to the area we shall have to buy her dinner there as thanks!
