The Fountain inn in Powys

Amazing place. Amazing staff. Amazing atmosphere. We are not from the area, we just had a nights stop over and found this place by chance. We'll definitely be going back.Update17-04-22Went back, no change ,still amazing, staff and clientele very friendly, welcomed our dog tooWe even had a lovely meal. Literally took 10minutes to reach our table. Prices are so cheap. We chose the steak.

Went for food there Fri while we waited for our log cabin too be ready! Absolutely outstanding food the mix grill was nicest one I've had in a long time and brilliant prices would 💯 recommend it too anyone in builth wells who enjoys a good pub meal! And people were really friendly there aswel

We stopped here on the way to Rhayader with our two dogs. A 'no-frills' kind of bar/cafe with a large choice of well cooked, enjoyable, 'pub-grub' meals available. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accomodating. We called back there a few days later on our return and had breakfast, which again was well cooked and enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful carvery! Lamb was so tasty!!! Great staff, lot's of activity. All in all a great place to stop. We will be back!

Decent pub grub in the middle of Builth. Friendly staff and quick service.Large screens separating tables and all staff wore masks.

Having driven for 2 hours we just parked outside and went in for a tea break.We met Kai who took our order in a friendly way, listened to good music on gold. We decided to order a late breakfast. It arrived quickly - very tasty and just what we needed. We then ordered another cup of the nice tea and got ready for our next onward drive to Pembroke - another 2 hrs, with a nice warm feeling!So Thanks Kai for the friendly chat and by the way, thanks for the parking space you kept for us just outside.your front door!Bernard and María - thanks

Local pub serving a range of beers and good food. Very friendly staff and locals who make it a great place to visit. We had the all day breakfast, well worth it. And the coffee and tea that comes with it was lovely and hot on a cold day.

We were staying in the neighbourhood and were looking for a place to eat dinner. We ended up in this pub and we were lucky, they had also some vegetarian dishes. We ordered a jacked potato which tasted good and had a nice dessert. Good and pleasant service in this pub.
