The George Inn Country Pub and Restaurant in Powys

What a gem. Very dog friendly, and the staff are very friendly. The food was first class, and people should try the Welsh breakfast, it was outstanding. My wife said that her Lasagne was the best she had tasted. The Biscoff cheesecake was homemade and delicious. We will definitely be back for more.

Beautiful carvery lovely place eat like a king and Queen, its faultless, friendly staff stunning beer garden to, highly recommend nice ales on tap great beers was a pleasure to dine there.

Gammon was lovely but everything else on the plate was cold and the new potatoes had been overboiled so were very watery. Shame, always had good meal there so mark it down to a one off?

Just driving through town and stopped for a bite. Very nice lunch and staff. The place has a fascinating history. Plenty of parking and places to sit .

Lovely lunch sitting outside by the river. Great meal, generous portions and even the dog was given a snack.

Family treat for birthday was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Excellent service, brilliant staff and enjoyable meal.

Called in off the cuff for lunch. Pub was dog friendly & interior had real character. We had only baguettes with chips but without doubt better than any restaurant we've had before. Staff we lovely. Munu extensive we will definitely be back soon.

we were seated and had our order taken in less than 10 minutes. 6-40pm at 7-25 pm we had our meal. Such a long time. Obviously in need of a proper chef, and more waiting staff needed, people wanted their drinks, people wanted to order food, people wanted to pay but with only two girls and a "barman" there was obviously a queue.

We came for a one night stay at the George Inn and were not disappointed. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed. We also had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, the food was fab and staff were all lovely and welcoming. Absolute ideal place to stay, 15minute drive to the falls. Definitely would love to come back!

Went for Sunday lunch today it was the nicest experience we had. The food was absolutely amazing and the desserts are to die for. The staff couldn't do enough for everyone. Can't wait to go again next week. We'll done everyone at the george
