We stayed on Brit Stops and can’t fault the pub. Lovely field to stay in, goor Beer and food was bloody lovely! As for the staff they were brilliant with accommodating the dog and provided him with his own meal. Happy dog! We definitely stay again. Bonus too it’s right by the canal so a lovely walk too!

Had a few meals over the last few years at the Horseshoes and has always been excellent. However, on this occasion we called in, after calling ahead, to be told there would be a half hour wait for food as they had just a large table of food to deal with. We had some drinks and sat in the garden and chose some meals. We went to order, and was told that they couldn’t take our order as for at least half and hour for the reason explained above. We were more than prepared to wait and expected to be able to order and sit outside and wait for food to arrive. It was no issue, the lady behind the bar then went to check and the next thing we were faced with a man in a white shirt, the manager, i assume behaving very aggressive and defensively saying we had been told that there was a half wait. We said we understood and just wanted to order and sit and wait. No was the answer, we have a big table in and only a small kitchen. Shocking attitude by the ‘manager’ i would think twice about using the establishment. We were more than prepared to wait but being spoken too in the tone that we were was enough for us to tell them to stick it!Such as shame as it’s always been a good place with good tasty food. But I won’t be going here again due to how the manager approached this situation. shocking attitude very disappointed

The place is beautiful with a stunning outdoor seating area, lovely pint, food was prompt and the staff lovely, the reason for three stars was I ordered the horse shoe ultimate burger with a side of onion rings, the burger was perfectly cooked and in a nice soft large bap but it did not contain any pulled pork as it should have and the onion rings undercooked, the chips was to die for. I would come again but expect better quality food. Thank you 😊

We had sunday lunch. Didn't have to wait long to be served by really friendly staff. Lots of lovely food. Children,'s roast was also good, little one gobbled it all. A really good place to stop for food on a long journey.

This was the only pub we could find that was open at lunch time during the week. It's on a busy main road and there was a big pool of oil under the beer battered chicken burger and halloumi burger but the staff were great and beers were good! The menu is fairly large, with lots to choose from, so I'd would definitely go back and try some of the other non deep fried meals.

Booked on-line for Sunday roast. Dog friendly. Plenty of staff who made it their job that you were served and waited on without any delays. The roast dinner was a big portion. Like a previous comment, a serving spoon for the veg wouldn't have gone a miss! The sweets were a big portion too. £19.99 for 2 options. Well worth a visit

Stopped off on the chance of having a late lunch on my way home with my dog. Very friendly staff and thankfully they could accommodate us. Enjoyed my meal and reasonably priced. We certainly stop again if that way.

Booked online with no trouble.Arrived early and were greeted with warmth and a friendly manner. Was lead to our table and were left to decide on our meal. The food was sublime and delicious and the service was outstanding. The prices were top value for money and I would not hesitate to eat there again. I would strongly recommend eating there as it is such a warm and friendly place.

Just spent two nights in our Motorhome at the pub. The hospitality was second to none. Darren and all his staff made us feel so welcome. The food was first class together with the local beers.A beautiful part of the world with unbelievable nights skies. Can't wait to revisit and thank you Darren and his staff !!! Well done

We booked on line with no problems. Arrived and our table was ready. The place is spacious and airy with plenty of space between the tables which made us feel confident dining out. The menu has a big choice from light to larger meals and a bonus there is a big gluten free choice. The staff were knowledgeable about the GF food and if unsure double checked with the kitchen. All the staff were friendly and wore masks the whole time in contact with customers which must have been hard and is a credit to them and The Horseshoe Inn. The food was very good, tasty and hot when it was served. Overall our experience was excellent and I would recommend that you give it a try as we most certainly will visit again.
