Excellent cafe and shop. It's a vegetation/vegan dream! So many delicious choices!

We had the most wonderful lunch here today. Lots to choose from on the vegetarian menu. Such a refreshing change for us veggies! I had the most fresh and delicious salad with noodles and my husband had mega cheese on toast with chilli. The staff were lovely and friendly, and there were such great quirky things to see in the store. Thoroughly recommend, and will be back. Thank you! 😊

I am allergic to hipsters, vegan food and coffee served in glass tumblers, so perhaps the old electric shop is a strange choice for me, but I keep coming back. Why?1) the food, despite being vegan/vegetarian, is nearly always excellent: interesting, varied, delicious and beautiful. They will cheerfully add an egg on request if you’re suspicious of vegan food2) decent coffee, and they serve it in a normal mug if you ask for it3) a truly excellent book collection that rivals Hay’s best bookshops4) even the trinkets have been known to suck me in… I’m not in the market for rusty tins (I could dig them up in the garden if I needed to) and I hate Christmas but the Christmas bauble collection was my downfall and I have no regrets!5) it’s always different, with an atmosphere of warm eclectic chaosSummary: if you’re the target market, take out a mortgage and accept that you’ll never leave. If you’re not the target market, go there anyway: smoked tofu is basically meat

Lovely shop, with a great selection of books. We had breakfast and the food was amazing. The vegan breakfast options and cake were really tasty. We enjoyed the sweetcorn fritters and vegan elderflower cake the most. The oat flat whites we tried the day before werent the best (perhaps the milk) but overall well worthy of 5 stars!

Had THE BEST soya cappuccino in ages there. Friend had the soup of the day that was absolutely gorgeous. We loved our visit. :)

A good selection of vegan and gluten free food, range limited though. Enjoyed the pancakes and fruit for breakfast. Coffee and tea very good.

Delightful Brunch in the autumn sunshine. The food here is fantastic, a wonderful selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as a stunning variety of cakes, teas, coffees and cold drinks to choose from.I opted for the Kimchi and lentil Brunch bowl with poached eggs which as you can see were cooked to perfection, rounded off with an Oat milk flat white coffee. The shop is beautifully laid out which leads you into a labyrinth of intriguing products including handmade bespoke gifts, vintage clothing and a plethora of fabulous books! The staff are an absolute delight, helpful and friendly service, I can highly recommend a visit.
