This public house is a gem we stayed up the road for a couple of days so after a day trip out we come here and we glad we did. the staff deserve a big mention they are brilliant. the food is absolutely lovely they managed to fit us in for a Sunday lunch we had our little dog with us and they went out their way to accommodate us brilliant

Although a bit out of the way, this lovely, community run pub has everything a country pub should have. Good beers, wine and a wide range of everyday food at a very good price.

·

Good food , lovely traditional pub in a rural location and run by the community

Very friendly and helpful staff. As for the food.....I can't wait to go back to try more of the dishes on offer.I can not recommend this hidden gem highly enough. If you like chocolate desserts try the chocolate lumpy bumpy pie it's to die for. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Booked in for an evening meal for party of 10. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food quality was excellent, all had a mixture from the menu and everything was good. Pub food exactly as it should.Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

We stayed in Brecon recently, local to the Shoemakers Arms. A great pub with very friendly staff, great food and excellent local beer. We booked a table but arrived after the kitchen had closed. The chef went back to the kitchen and served our delicious food to an impeccable standard. The Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Don' drive pass the Shoemakers to go anywhere else, it's not worth it!

Fully recommend, small farmhouse pub in the welsh valley of Brecon Beacons, small car parking outside. Seating area outside. Be aware that on the way you are driving down small country lanes with sharp corner'sVery pleasant staff, food excellent service very quick. Local produce sourced, many variety meals on the menu excellent for the price. Drinks and ale's on bar. Would recommend to book as can get busy Sunday lunch available. Beautiful walks and scenery nearby.

We had a lovely family meal here last week. The service was great and food delicious, a lovely hidden away country pub. Will visit again and have recommended to friends already.

Fantastic place to stay in the little cottage as well as a pub, the owner is friendly, the food great, really can't fault it, only bad thing is we didn't stay longer
