Nice pub in good location in Hay.Good beers and good Italian food cooked to order. My only criticism is that we were not informed about the "specials" not shown on the main menu. A bit more info would have been appreciated. We still enjoyed our pasta dishes and, other than above comment, the service was very good.We would certainly call in again on our next visit too Hay.

Amazing 16th century construction visible inside this traditional pub. Food was good, deducted a star because nobody wants their food on a slate, and a little overpriced, but it's Hay price I guess. Very good pizza, excellent staff.

Cosy pub full of character. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. Both starters and mains arrived quite quick and were piping hot, but it was just ok-ish Italian food.I would definitely come again if we're in the area, but might order something different next time.

Tasty pizza, they do takeaways too. Salad not so great, smothered in oil and nothing else. Some nice seats available, we booked ahead but got table in busy thoroughfare, not at all comfortable. Staff friendly, and service good.

Bonus Very dog friendly. Beautiful presented food with another bonus of being delicious. Another bonus the waitress was amazing so kind, and approachable.Thank you we had a wonderful time and meal.

Always had a great experience. Tonight was the first time we were a little disappointed. Staff are brilliant but not enough for a busy Saturday. Ran out of burgers by 7.45. waited half an hour for desserts but ended up cancelling as we were tired. We will be back though and hopefully it will be back to a great service, no fault of the staff on duty.

A good pint of Guinness (always, in my humble opinion, a good sign in a pub, and rarer than you might think). Staff were welcoming and friendly (they went out of their way to squeeze in our food order when we dropped in on spec, despite dealing with a very large group). Good gastropub food (my mushroom and lentil risotto was excellent). I deducted a star for allowing us to buy so many skittlebombs, resulting in a stinking hangover the following day... 🤣Seriously, though, a great place to spend a pleasant evening.

The food itself was delicious, drinks superb and service very friendly. Food took a little wait, however expected near Christmas time.

Really friendly staff, great authentic Italian food and a lovely cosy setting. We had our 7 month old baby with us and the staff were both helpful and accommodating. Thoroughly recommend this place!

Great place with beautiful old beams and a lovely old world feel. We had a very tasty Sunday roast which was hot, plentiful and really delicious. The service was very friendly when we arrived although the booking system was not the best. We placed a booking online confirmed over the phone..so far, so good....then when we arrived all our requests were ignored, we were put on another person's table and it caused a bit of upset which detracted from the lovely place and food. Probably a one off but would be good to coordinate emails, phone and staff verbal booking with a better system. Food was lush though.
