Tower Restaurant in Powys

Excellent food in a fantastic location. On a sunny summers day you would think you were in the Austrian alps. We watched the jet fighters fly down the valley below where we w were e sitting. Awesome!

Nice place, wonderful views . But the reason for the review is the food . Ordered 3 steaks...not the best for the price and the chips were awful...this is meant to be a top restaurant . Go to the cafe down the road if you want food .

Amazing spot with a great view of the Lake. Casual vibe with unpretentious food perfect after a long day out. Despite what other reviews say, the staff were great, and very friendly.

Here as part of a wedding party. Food came and was very bland, had obviously been plated a long time as was cold too. No extra veg allowed despite asking twice. Desserts were very disappointing. I had pavlova which consisted not of pavlova but fruit coulis, a meringue and ice cream on a plate plonked in front of me. Evening food consisted of egg or sausage sandwiches..... In brioche buns so were dry as sticks. Not good at all. Not holding up much hope for breakfast.....

First time I came here I got a plaice (a fish) I could mostly taste the breadcrumbs and the fish had a dull taste. When I got reared ham the ham didn't seem slightly cooked it felt like it was in a fridge before also it wasn't a chunk of meat but slices to put in a sandwich the meal also had average chips and a duck egg. The service was alright

Went for afternoon tea . Stunning location. We had a sofa in the lounge. We put our order in at the bar......then we were forgotten for 45 mins....then asked again....was told it was coming......waited another 45 mins. We complained and left. Highly dissappointed. Besides that its just full of old people using an excuse to drink in the early afternoon. Was not a relaxing environment at all.

We really enjoyed the food,I personally enjoyed the burgers and chips,which I had trouble eating all of it but I did manage,I had no complaints at all and would recommend the lovely views of the surroundings.staff very hospitable,lovely meal.

So sad as the surroundings of the hotel are beautiful the restaurants is simply sad. Meal selection is really poor and I would really question the freshness of food we had. Will never call back.

Lovely food, great location, just not man size portions!! I had the fish of the day described as cod fillet with crushed new potatoes in garlic butter. When it arrived they must've forgot to put the whole fillet on the plate as I only received the tail end???😞😞😞

We absolutely love this place been loads of times and we keep going back. Fantastic area and superb location, the views are fantastic, the staff at the restaurant and the hotel are great. Good gin menu at the "old" bar
