Very reasonable prices; good quality food; pleasant appearance and nice staff

This review is for the cafe. Stopped off here a few times, for a break when out cycling, and has been very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is good and cafe is furbished well. It is an old building with exposed beams, which gives off a warm and welcoming feeling.

Nice rooms right in the centre of town. The shower was very powerful and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was really nice. You have to collect your keys from a pub across the road, but it's no hassle. Parking is available in a street behind the hotel a 2 minute walk away. The only downside is that the walls are very thin between the rooms! and there is a lot of traffic/lorry noise from the street in front of the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is probably not the hotel for you. But it is very handy for local shops (Co-Op just next door), amazing Indian restaurant down North Street, Pubs and a fish and chip shop. Overall, very nice.

Coffee was amazing, tasted like coffee ! Welsh call was full of lamb and tasted divine, full breakfast was made with quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Excellent stop off for lunch

Great customer service and good quality food

We stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat, what we got was really disappointing, a pastie that was warned up in a microwave and was soggy and floppy.It was like the staff couldn't be bothered.

We stopped at the cafe for lunch (we did not avail ourselves of the accommodation on this trip), but were impressed with the food we bought. My friend had a burger and I had a breakfast sandwich - they were both delicious, washed down by a couple of lattes! The young lady who brought our food was really helpful, friendly and polite and a credit to the cafe - even though she had only worked there for a week. I will definitely stop here again.
