Watson's Ale House in Powys

Where is Watson's Ale House?

🏠 24 High St, Knighton LD7 1AT

"Watson's Ale House is one of a new breed of licenced establishment called a 'micropub'. Our aim is to serve the fine cask-conditioned beers in an environment where ale and conversation can be enjoyed together. Although we will sometimes serve a particularly fine beer from one of the big brewers, most of our beers are from microbreweries. We do try to focus on beers brewed locally, either in Wales or in the border counties of England. We also offer a range of five draught ciders and perries. Again, we select these from local producers and serve only cider and perry that are classed as 'real' by CAMRA (made with 100% apple or pear juice, and and not pasteurised or artificially carbonated)."

Great stay in this lovely quirky B&B with an ale house beneath! Tom & team go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are super clean & you can make your own breakfast. Cute beer garden & you can also get chips next door & eat them in. Cute kitten to entertain & pets welcome. Hope to be back soon.

Great little micro pub. Welcoming and the pub dog is very friendly. Grab some fish & chips from next door and have them with your beer in the pub. Great to sit and chat to the owners and hear all about the place.

Absolutely one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Tom and Co were the most welcoming and attentive hosts and made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and pristine, and the building itself was beautiful.Highly recommend the little pub below the accommodation as well. Great atmosphere and drinks.Thank you Tom
