West End Fish Bar in Powys

Good selection of food displayed all freshly cooked. Had the fish and chips which was very good. Fish was cooked in a crispy batter and chips perfectly cooked as well. Will be returning to sample the rest on offer👍🙂

Fast efficient service with large selection of gluten free meals.

It could have been Good, the basic ingredients appeared to be of a good standard, however my fish bites, chips and baked beans were all luke warm... There were no customers when I went in but there were 5 fish and a lot of fish bites and other items steaming under the glass consequently the batter was soggy and unpleasant, but easy to remove and throw away.. I sat opposite to eat my food and saw only one other customer enter the shop!!I probably should have gone in and asked for my money back as most of it went in the bin!!They need to get their act together as they have now lost a customer...

Despite the lady at the front of the queue ordering for the 5000, the service was fast and friendly and food delicious. Prices fine. No wonder the locals recommended it for us.

Visited this place for the first time and it was an enjoyable experience. Service was polite and friendly. Prices are clear and reasonable - the kids loved the fish bites and the fish and chips were good. The batter was fresh and clean and the chips were decent too.

Will add a photo next time. I do enjoy the gravy and chips from here. Old school in a tray. Yum yum

Inedible cold hard chips, the pie was OK as it hadn't been made by them! There was hardly any potato in the potato fritter. This place used to be good but the current owners have run it into the ground. Excellent food and service x the fish and chips was delicious.

I purchased fish and chips on two occasions from here and I was not really impressed😕. I believe the food is cooked well in advance. The food is only warm and not hot at all. The portions are really good but what use is that when you don't enjoy what you're eating. I suggest that the owners have a think about what they're doing if they want to keep returning customers 😬

VERY greasy. Had Fish bites and chips, fish bites were on the bottom which saved a few of the chips but the grease was unreal-fish bites were old and rubbery. Gravy and Curry were nice though.
