White Lion Hotel in Powys

We ate lunch on a Monday, excellent chips, superb service and would certainly recommend as a pit stop for anyone passing through.Best customer service in all of wales, and a celeb doppelgänger on the bar!

Rooms were good value for money if somewhat small. Good breakfast. Busy pub serving food all day. Good chips and very large portion sizes.

Called in for a pint of ale and a burger, the mega. Both fine, nothing special nor bad except small coleslaw portion served in what appeared to be a McDonald's sauce cup. Staff were great, reasonable pricing. 2or3 big TVs showing champions League final!

Popped in for a bite to eat four adults and one child. Could not fault the food and the service. All had diffrent meals all came out together and pipping hot. It's a traditional old pub. To top it all the beer festival was on an the drinks were real value for money and a great choice. Well done will definitely visit again.

Meal was poor, we ordered a tagine and it was more like a vegetarian vindalu. Spicy hot beyond belief. The waitresses were fair though and offered another meal or desert. The other meal was not brilliant either, nor the deserts.

Excellent service, food and bar offering hot and cold beverages, choice of several ales, lagers and cider. Well located for local amenities with car park. Reasonably priced with great breakfast. Room fine, just had a little of that musty/old sweat smell. But you can't choose your customers.

Haven't had the pleasure of staying here overnight but if the food and drink is anything to go by then I'm sure it's great. Large breakfast with a beer was amazing. Enjoyed it. 👍

Have been here for evening pub meals on two occasions when staying nearby and each time had very good food. A decent selection of beers on offer as well.

The pub food is brilliant! Great service and very friendly staff. We did not stay at the hotel and can only comment on the pub. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well! No complaints at all!
