Always been great, even 20 years ago, just happy they deliver now 💗 fantastic food and lovely friendly staff A+

·

Food ordered, told delivery would be 25 minutes, one hour later it was delivered. Phoned back after 35 minutes to be told the driver was on his way - could've walked to us quicker!Update, given 4 stars as can't fault quality of the food.

I have been ill every Saturday all day and night , after eating here on a Friday night, for the last four weekends, the chicken is not chicken it’s some rubber square mashed up and squashed , like quorn chicken, it used to be fine, but now I’m defanately giving it a miss.

Great food sweet and sour is really sweet but that's fine for me chicken chow main is well cooked very dark but full of taste only didn't like chips when I tried few times but if changed them be my first choice for Chinese in bucksburn.have to add chips have been much better since those early visits.

Never seen a square chicken before bit that was what 2as in the chicken curry. It was a bit too salty. Beef in oyster sauce was ok. Not the best chi see I have had buy certainly not the worst.

This place hasn’t changed since I remember it being a chip shop in the 80’s, it was like stepping back in time, which I loved. The food was amazing, best Chinese I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend.

They are one of the last places in Aberdeen that still make a proper Crispy Pancake Roll. You get a proper sized roll and a good mix of meat with beansprouts. The pancake is actually "crispy" not soggy like some places. All other takeaways now suffer from one or all of the following problems, they are tiny, soggy instead of crispy and the worst of all is when they actually give you 2 massive rolls but because of this they just fill the entire 2 rolls with beansprouts and nothing else and a tiny thin layer for the crispy shell. I do not understand why some other places do this, instead of making 4 tiny rolls, or 2 massive rolls where they compensate by removing everything but the beansprouts. Instead just make one decent sized roll and put all the cost in to that roll so you get a quality pancake roll.Bankhead is good at keeping this kind of quality Roll, thank you!Spare Ribs can be a hit or a miss for some odd reason. I think there could be 2 chefs working different nights because one night you could get proper ribs, where it is actual nice long rib bones with a thick layer of meat and in the lovely red BBQ sauce while other nights you could end up with those horrible bits of tendons and cartilage that places have started to sell and this is why i believe there are 2 chefs, they can come with a brown sauce instead of the usual red. We all prefer the red as do all the people i know that i have talked about this with. So please ask the chef that makes the red BBQ sauce teach the other chef to do that all the time and please, just proper ribs, not the cartilage with hardly any meat.I like that they have a couple of things that other places don't such as the Garlic & Chili sauce which is lovely.Portions are usually good imo.The things that let them down though are what changes the kind of night you are looking for when you order food, which is an easy night. The reasons being is no delivery and in this day and age more frustrating is they only take cash! This can turn your "easy relaxing night" in to a nightmare if you do not have cash on you and the local shop bank machines are not working. So now you have to hunt for a working ATM and you have to go collect it. Please if we must collect, at least make it easy to do so by adding the ability to pay with a card both in store and over the phone. On a good night i give them an easy 4 out of 5 stars, that 5th star could be gained by adding the ability to pay by card. On a bad night again a star is reduced by the no card or delivery but it is when you get the brown sauce and tendons/cartilage instead of ribs. Get that proper ribs with red sauce every night and especially the ability to pay by card and i will increase the stars, even without delivery i would give that extra star if they fix the ribs and payment issues.
