Poor service, husband, myself and 2 hungry teenagers waited at door 10 minutes. Was then sat and told I’ll let you settle, we’ve just stood at your door 10 minutes we don’t need to ‘settle’. Was a good 5 minutes before a waitress finally came and got a drinks order. We then went all for carvery thinking it would be faster. Disappointed the serve area was filthy, vegetables all over the place, disgusting. Went for gravy that serve area worse. Gravy spilt all over the counter, sauces all messy and mixed. Wouldn’t like to think what the kitchen is like after this is what customers see. This was £11 each carvery. We won’t be back, I’ll continue with Dyce. Go with what you know

Food could rate as standard, service diabolical. We paid almost £11 each for a Sunday carvery and was left with our finished plates for over a hour before we finally gave up and went to the bar to pay. We arrived around 2 o clock and waiting at the door entry area for approx 10 minutes no one acknowledged we was there, again we gave up and sat ourself. We then went to the bar to order drinks and joined the queue for the roast. No offer of any desserts. We paid over £40 for a Sunday dinner with absolutely no table service what so ever, no waiter, no greet. Table sticky along with menu. won’t be back

An overall mixed experience, Staff were fantastic, young girl with black hair was doing her best during a busy period and was very polite and helpful, our bill was mixed up with another table so we were overcharged but this was fixed in the end even though we had to do the math for the manager. Food times were bad (half an hour for the soup and garlic bread starter) but they were understaffed so that's excusable, overall good experience, food was great, the cook serving the carvery was extremely nice, he had an accent I don't want to guess but he was above and beyond welcoming so a little shout out to him, To say it was realistically a bad day I'd definitely love to see them on a good day.

After travelling a long way to head home, we arrived in Aberdeen, we'd not eaten since breakfast, and we were hungry, so we wanted proper food, not fast food, and boy did we get a plate full!We were welcomed warmly straight from the start, which is just what you need when you're tired from a long trip. We were served straight away, and we headed for the carvery. The server was fab, so jolly and friendly, and the food was delicious, so much choice, by the end my plate was piled up.Everything was cooked perfectly, but unfortunately I couldn't finish all my plate, so they happily provided me with a box, and my dogs had a nice treat when I got home. The crocket hat was the perfect choice for us and we will definitely be returning. Thanks

Myself and my family went to the Cocket Hat for our Christmas dinner.First off, I have to say that the service was great and the waiting staff were really friendly and helpful. The food, however, was not great considering the cost per head. The melon in the starter was hard and the peashoots were very wilted and dry, definitely not fresh. We only got one thin slice of melon, which didn't compared to the serving size of the other starters. The baked camembert tasted greasy like it had been fried rather than baked, but otherwise was okay. The soup was good. The main carvery was good, however a lot of the sides were either undercooked (cauliflower in cheese sauce), or were cold and stodgy (potato dauphinoise and Yorkshire puddings). I would have loved to have brussel sprouts, but they had been cooked with large chunks of bacon and I'm vegetarian. I asked a server who said they could get me some cooked without bacon, but that it would take some time and so I didn't bother. The meat looked reasonable and everyone who had meat at the table said it was well cooked and tasty. The desserts were a bit of a letdown. The icecream sundaes were basically vanilla ice cream with some fudgy bits, a wafer and a malteasers reindeer on top, the billionaires bar was nice, but teeth meltingly sweet (another table next to us didn't eat theirs after trying a nibble). The Christmas pudding seemed nice and the people who had that at our table enjoyed it.Overall it venue was good, the staff were helpful and nice, but the food was subpar and I would have expected better for the price per head.

Great and wide selection of Carvery. Hot , I enjoyed the parsnips. Staff were all great and helpful to our table. We had pudding did not feel rushed and enjoyed our experience in the restaurant. Two course good value Monday to Friday

Food quality is average and quantity is unreasonably large, i.e., impossible for an average size human to finish so definitely a lot of wastage. Apart from that, staff was lovely and helpful. Place is posh and beautiful. May recommend for a one time carvery experience but nothing more than that.

Cain was a wonderful host and server on our most recent visit to Toby Carvery. The food was delightful. Everything is so reasonably priced as well. See you'll again soon. Strongly recommended.

Thursday 18.11 good breakfast at the Toby next to premier inn. Wide variety for only £4.99, good selection of hot food. No yogurts or fruit would like to see. Staff excellent very good at hospitality. Restaurant clean and toilet clean but does need a refurbishment overall. Would return and recommend

The food was really good, fresh and plenty of choice. The staff are so friendly. They were really helpful and great with our toddler. I noticed the windows are in a pretty bad shape, and I hope if the building needs a refurb here and there that they get it, because they deserve it.
