Absolutely brilliant little homely pub! Myself, my partner and our pup Skye love going for food! Food is always hot and served quickly, staff are always happy to help and so nice that they’ll have a good old chat away with you! Food and drinks are really well priced and if there’s any issues the staff are happy to help! We love the fact we can take our pup in with us even if we are eating! There are designated seats for those who wish to not be in with dogs too so all round very accommodating!

The only reason this is getting two stars is due to the fact that the ONE member of staff that was on did his absolute best to cater to our needs and the food that we got was pretty decent. One pair of boots on the ground to serve in the bar, take table orders and deliver food and drinks to each table, whilst presumably being expected to follow all covid Cleaning procedures etc is absoluting shocking. What would have happened if this sole member of waiting/Bar staff had injured himself whilst changing a barrel for example. Hats off to the guy that looked after us, I wish I got his name now. No matter how many times we shouted him over for something he greeted us in a friendly manner and was very apologetic for the, shortages from the menu and the issues that we were having with the app etc but this can lead to customers having an awkward experience whilst visiting, some people wouldnt want to bother him because he's clearly visibly busy, but the whole point of dining out is to take the stress away from dining at home.Greene King are the "Country's leading pub retailer" 15 of these pubs are in Aberdeen, so I refuse to believe that there are no ways around transferring staff or asking staff to cover sicknesses in other Greene Kings pubs. I'm presuming that the members of staff have signed contracts to work for the Greene King brand and not the individual bar. What did baffle me is that I have since found out that there were apparently two chefs on we still had to wait a good while for our food and they still managed to forget items on the only other tables order, there were only two customers at the other table so it wasn't a huge order.Great potential, our food that we had was all pretty tasty and hot enough, Friendly service, however there is no way there should have only been one person working between the bar and restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, as suggested before Its my guess that management will fully expect this one member of staff to also take care of the extra duties brought on by the pandemic, which comes across as an almost impossible task.Menu item shortages and glitchy apps are to be expected just now, my 2 star review has absolutely nothing to do with that, so please dont reply saying there are national delivery issues and shortages, I get that. Anyway good luck for the future and hopefully we have a better experience for our next visit.

Meals took over an hour to appear despite chasing staff, when they did arrive my wife had the All day brunch, eggs over cooked, uneatable and cold same as the lorne sausage, bacon all fat, chips the only thing hot.My meal was the 8oz rump steak cooked ok but a couple of bits tough due to gristle, everything was stone cold. Could do with more staff, had to request my money back. Would not recommend and will not be back. We used to go a few years back and would say this has gone downhill. Place not busy so cannot understand why we had to wait and we were not the only ones to be waiting.

Very welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. I have been a couple of times now, being served by Jessica and Dan and both were very helpful and accommodating. Drinks were always served in good time and although I haven’t eaten there, I have seen other people eating and the food always looks really good!

Very enjoyable meal, it was busy on a Saturday but nothing was too much trouble for the team and the new manager really made us feel at home. Drinks are really good value for money

Food was terrible. My wife had bacon that was cooked on an absolutely disgustingly filthy grill. Asked for tomato sauce and was told they were out, and had been for weeks. Apparently a walk to the local Tesco was too much for the clientele. Beer tasted off, left our food on table and walked out.

Went here for a meal on Sat night . No Lager on tap as they had run out of gas. So Guinness it was . Well untill it had run out after 3 pints .Now to order the meal . No Fish and chips , No Steak. Food that we did get was hot and good though .We were last here in Mar 2020 , before lockdown and it was a great place to go for food and meet up with friends . I know a lot of pubs have suffered over the past 18 months but I have never seen the four mile this empty on a Saturday night. I'm sure it's just a glitch.

Lovely wee Pub. FOOD IS AMAZING. When I visited it was packed really busy staff were racing around sweat dripping off them yet the food was still top notch just because they were busy their standards didnt slip. Staff were nice attentive. Only down side was it was boiling!!! Hot summers day outside and they didnt have any windows open already a small space with limited ventilation and the heat was torture. The radiator in the bsr was on!! They have a number of Tvs dotted about mainly playing news channel but No volume! The booth seats had their own small tv which looked to be playing a quiz show! Better!!!but again no volume. The price was very reasonable for what you get. Nice sized portions main + dessert & large coke was only £15.33 I regularly stay at travelodge across the road for work and will definitely be using this place for dinner everytime and will encourage my colleagues to aswell. Thank you
