La Lombarda Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Went for dinner, food was lovley, staff were lovely, resteraunt was freezing, a calor gas heater was heating room i get that times are tough for owners with rising costs, and covid but dining experience is not just about food or staff, its also about the ambience of where you are.

Servers were nice and tried their best. But the boss/chef was useless. I waited 15 mins for my main after the rest of my table received theirs. The meal i ordered didn’t come out with 2/3 of the ingredients. When I asked about this the server checked with the chef and said “he’s angry and said that’s the special” I wanted to go back and show him what was written on the special board.They ran out of potatoes and replaced them with chips last minute too.Starters were nice but all food took a while to come out.They took £2 off the bill, I had to ask for a bit more as a lot of what we ordered we didn’t receive. When chefs (who also happen to be the manager) make a lot of mistakes they should take responsibility and take care of customers better.

The meal was quite good, our party got in quite late but we still got served and the food seemed perfecrly fresh, even for that time. Don't let the empty tables discourage you

I’ve been there a couple of times, food was okay most of the time but service is lacking, mask wearing was a joke as they wore it below their noses or took it off when they came to the table to serve you. They seem to have the same sauce bases for many dishes as well which is a bit disappointing for an Italian.

Myself and 3 pals came for a meal early Saturday evening and it was brilliant- great service, amazing food and beautiful wine - the waitress even came by to top our glasses for us! Fantastic restaurant, will visit again soon xx

In Aberdeen with my mum and stepdad for one evening, and found this lovely place. Got a wonderful Christmas dinner. Staff very helpful, food very good. Fantastic evening.

90 minute wait for starter, steak came rare when asked for well done. Staff tried their hardest but couldn't cope with how busy the place was. For being the oldest Italian restaurant in the UK I'd have thought they'd realise that additional staff would be required on a Saturday night

Best Italian that I have been in so far in Abederdeen.The bruschetta is the best that I have ever had in my life and the pizza lombarda was good! The toffee dessert was also good.The prices are ok and the interior is really classy. My waiter was also very friendly and overall can absolutely recommend.

I was here for lunch today, 2 courses for £9.99. For a starter I had the soup of the day which was golden lentil and bacon. This soup was absolutely amazing and my main didn't disappoint either, I chose the lasagne. From coming in the door until I left I felt very welcome and the staff were always close by if I needed anything like black pepper for the soup or a sprinkling of parmesan over the lasagne. I thought the atmosphere was very nice too and will definetely go back.
