Light of Bengal in Aberdeen City

After ordering earlier in the week and placing a smaller order of the same food today, I was shocked that the price had increased by £10. When I asked why a smaller order was significantly more both staff members, one of who claimed to be a manager, were very rude and cheeky to me. I was told it would take too much time for them to figure out why and they gave varying reasons. Also, on arrival, the order was missing items and an hour later I still haven’t received these. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and I will never give this restaurant my money again or recommend to anyone.

As always the service, excellent food & atmosphere was great. Have been going there for many years & never disappointed. Would highly recommend.

Staff noisy. Noisy telephone, tablet, mobilephone continuously active (take away orders?). Smell of cigarette smoke for the back of the restaurant. Food atrocious, not fresh, salty from being stewed, (base sauce), too long (probably days), rice overcooked (as in) being reheated (again?). Staff untrained, hovering around the table trying to remove glasses and plates while we were still eating and drinking. Avoid!

The food here was very good, and there's a very wide range available on the menu.The service, however, was shambolic and it took a while to order, to get served and to pay up.

Lovely food and great staff. Fine tuned the menu to my taste which was lovely :) Would definitely recommend for anyone in Aberdeen.

The Biryani could of been a bit more spicy. Enjoyed the house red wine, icecream and tea.

Had a delivery for here, this really is one of the top tier Indian restaurants in Aberdeen. Highly recommend the lamb Biryani.

This has been my favourite Indian restaurant for over 20 years and it continues to be so. The food is as good Indian food as I’ve had anywhere in the world and the atmosphere is relaxed. You may pay slightly more than on some places but it’s certainly worth it. Whenever I’m in Aberdeen I always choose to come here.

Amazing experience. All staff members are extremely attentive and friendly. Food is incredibly tasty. They even treated us with drinks on the house. Will definitely come back!

Still my favorite Indian restaurant in aberdeen. The people working there are all nice and friendly. After eating there a few times they remember you which makes the visit even more comfortable. Food is always good and it is worth to leave the choice if the food to the waiter! Just let him know what meat and how hot you like the food and let him decide the rest.
