Meze House in Aberdeen City

Decided to try Meze House after checking reviews on TripAdviser because I wanted vegetarian options. There was no one else eating there, at 6:15 on a Friday, but the take-away counter was faily busy. We asked for a Meze selecion for two and this was delivered quite quickly, with a friendly explanation of each dish (only one meat option included for my omnivor partner). The food was fresh and good, and portions were generous for a starter, but just enough for a simple main meal.I only gave three stars because the dishes were not very clean, the menus were all very sticky. Also, our waiter left after serving our order and someone else rang up the cheque, charging us for something we hadn't had. He was happy to correct the mistake when we pointed it out, but still it was a bit awkward.I'd order take out here but would not eat in again.

Sometimes it says the shop is closed but Mezes normally shuts at 3am so just give them a quick phone to check if they're open or not other than Meze house is a good takeaway the staff always talk to their customers and treat them like family.

One of our favorite places while we lived in Aberdeen. Always try to go back when we visit. Great food, lovely owner.

Superb meze freshly cooked. Friendly and attentive service from the proprietor. This is eastern Mediterranean food at its best. The humus has to be the best and freshest I've tasted. Worth a try.
