Absolutely fantastic, we managed to grab a table last minute and they really looked after us. Andrew was very knowledgeable on the wine and all staff were evidently passionate about the food. Really good value for money too.

Magnificent. One of my favourite restaurants in Aberdeen. I had preconceptions before going that the food would be tiny portions and I hoped it wouldn't be overrated. The menu was well thought out, fresh and cooked impeccably. I believe the owner was a finalist on MasterChef and the quality of cooking shows.I'm already looking forward to the next time I come here!

Very, very good!Came by and popped in to read the menu and decided right then to just sit down and eat!Great service and even better food!!I had the bbq goose to start followed by the venison which was absolutely amazing. Beautifully cooked and presented and the side of venison hot pot was magnificent!

Rather small place but nice, welcoming atmosphere, although the music was a bit loud in the background. The food was excellent, I had the halibut and my friend had the hake: both were delicious, made with very good quality ingredients, but the portions were far too small. My friend complained especially about the size of the salad as it was presented as a main dish on the menu but looked more as a garnish beside the fish in the plate.

Lovely food and staff. As a long term vegetarian I appreciate when there is a dish for me in places that are being innovative. The starter was lovely. The main was in my view too heavy and it felt like there were too many flavours and all of them familiar. I was not surprised but I would go again and have the vegetarian option. I was expecting maybe something more innovative and risky.

The food was absolutely wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The sesame and prawn toast is one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted! The waiting staff were friendly and polite and will definitely be back.

Brilliant restaurant offering food which is just a bit different. Delightful and relaxed dining, and I have mostly lunched here. Head chef, Brian McLeish, was runner-up in Masterchef. Recent delicious lunch: Shetland mussels, fennel sausage, cider, and apple .. delicious. Followed by: Beef Babette, confit onions, potato fondant, and peppercorn emulsion. Highly recommended.

First visit here today and it was a pleasant experience. The place is very small but that does not take away from the good experience. The waiters are very attentive and regularly ask if all is ok.My dishes were very good. On the first bite I thought that the chicken was nothing special but more I ate it the more I acutally got to its full flavour and it was a wild but very good mix.The prices were completely fine - I paid almost 22 pounds for a 3 course menu and 2 Drinks. Can certainly recommend as my dishes were great.

Just had dinner with my brother and sister in law. Well worth the visit. Not only the food but a good selection of wines; including organic wines. I certainly will return. The only issue we had was with the fried artichokes; the fibres hadn't been removed. Apart from that it would have been a 5 star rating. No need to ask for a taxi the staff asked whether we needed one.
