·

Decent beer, quiet for an afternoon pint, but not much atmosphere for the 6 nations.

·

Excellent Food and friendly and very helpful staff. I would recommend visiting this delightful pub for food and atmosphere.

·

Great melt in your mouth fish and chips, wonderful pub atmosphere. Great service!

·

An old building from the 1670s originally domiciled by Dominican monks, the Order of Preachers founded in Toulouse, the pub reeks of history and has fine stained glass windows, the pub ground floor is set at three different levels with plenty of comfortable seating, a pleasant welcome is given as you arrive, we had lunch with generous servings and wonderful black beer. A must visit pub in Aberdeen.

Quite simply got to be one of top five pubs in Central Aberdeen..Staff friendly and professional..Cosy with various types of seating..If your lucky, you will listen to live music too.Go for it.

·

Loved the atmosphere and the folk band playing in the lower level. Food was very good at a reasonable price, staff were pleasant and a good selection of beers to chose from.

·

Can not fault this place. It has old characteristics still in place. Ales great. Food well absolutely wonderful. Will definitely be going back again. Acoustic music a bonus.

·

Pleasant pub with a very high level of cleanliness. It felt fresh and the food and drinks were just what we were looking for at the time. Awesome Chicken Tikka and a good enough fish and chips. The house red was perfectly drinkable!

I've been three times and gotten the fish and chips twice, which was really good, and the steak and ale pie the third time, which was amazing, even though we could tell it wasn't made there, just reheated. I was surprised the cheesecake wasn't made in-house as it was really one of the best I have had. There were two people working the last two times I went, a younger woman with long red hair who was polite and professional, and an older guy with longish hair who was less polite, and seemed annoyed that we were there, even though we were only one table out of 3 eating. Even on Christmas eve, for dinner, he seemed less than pleased to have us there.Overall it's a pretty cool atmosphere with good food.
