Old School House in Aberdeen City

Visited old school house lastnight, and had such an amazing experience, the staff was all lovely, the guy taking out the food was funny and we had a laugh with him. All staff were working very hard and seemed to be such a friendly atmosphere!! We had the fish and chips and then a scampi and chips, the fish is the best fish I've ever had eating out. My partner also loved the scampi, will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, food was great and staff was really friendly and helpful. First experience since moving in to Aberdeen. Old school house was great, best pub I’ve been to so far , Mel was a great chat and recommended other places in Aberdeen and new drinks to try ! Overall a great experience. thanks 😊

Called into the old schoolhouse on Sunday night for a quick bite to eat with my wife. Placed our order which came fairly quickly unfortunately one of the meals was quite cold, I spoke to the barman (Doug) who could not have been more helpful. I would have been happy enough if the meal was put in the microwave but Doug insisted it would be replaced. The meal I got was excellent. I would like to thank doug for his great service and professional handling of the situation. You are a credit to the place. We will certainly be returning.

Bar staff lovely and very accomodating of my dog; treats and water bowl. Unfortunately the sauce on my katsu curry was still frozen! That said staff were very apologetic and the replacement plate was delicious - and hot!

An amazing bar, the staff are even more amazing. Bronwen in particular is exceptional at her job, knows the ‘locals’ and enough to know if they medically require a mask, and if they d, accommodates accordingly. Always provides amazing service no matter what and will step in to help/suggest if needed. All round amazing service and will be back, not many pubs in the town centre who will accommodate those who do not require a mask, but osh will always remain a favourite xx

Love this place for sport, even when quiet theres a good atmosphere. fantastic range on the bar and staff always helpful. Can't wait for the summer, best beer garden in town.

Over 15 minutes for 2 drinks when the bar isn't busy and the staff are closing equipment down is a bit of a joke. This is why I don't come here often. Disappointing.Second round happily arrived quicker but unsure as to what is on the glass!

The food was good. But one member of staff was so incredibly rude that it put a dampener on our visit.Our meals and all but one of our drinks arrived promptly. When asking our server if the fourth drink was on its way, after waiting another ten minutes, all I got in reply was a rather sharp “I’m not on the bar!” and they walked off without another word. Went up to the bar to get it myself and thankfully the member of staff behind the bar that served me was pleasant and apologetic.

The old schoolhouse is an excellent pub. We really enjoyed the meals and the service. The lamb was tasty, and the service was fast. My guest from the United States was confused by the word "chips," not knowing it meant French fries. We had a good time. The ice on the cake, prices are reasonable.
