In the past I have had really good food. This time ours was not so great. The mac n cheese had no flavour at all such that even my 5yo mentioned it. The fish and other dishes were better. Only 2 of our 6 were having a starter so asked if we could have everything brought out together, since we also had kids with us. The manager told us this was madness and were we sure?? It would take longer for food to come. That's fine we said, a bit taken aback by his attitude. A mere 20 minutes later all our food came. Service other than the manager was good.

We went here yesterday with my mum and 2 friends before going to the theater. Very,very friendly place staff was amazing very helpful and attentive. We all had the pre theater menu the food was amazing and served very quickly. 5 stars all the way would highly recommend. Ty

The globe is an excellent pub, service always great, a great selection of ales. Plenty of space, nice little beer garden, and it's set down a quiet road away from the frenzy on the main streets.

Usually go to the Globe on a Monday night because they do a pub quiz for the casual quiz goer, it's not overly serious and so it is quite fun.The bar itself is nice, the toilets are clean, the food is decent enough and the staff are always really friendly.Great pub for unwinding with a few pints and good chat with good friends.

Fantastic meal, the portion sizes were massive and the food was really tasty. We had the pre-theatre menu and there was a good selection to choose from. One item from the starters was unavailable and there was some alcoholic drinks unavailable due to supply issues which the staff explained. All were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and attentive. The bar/restaurant has a cosy welcoming atmosphere and was very comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Excellent place to stay.Great breakfast and on a Monday night there's a quiz in the bar.Fine selection of beers in the bar.Our room was compact and bijou. Sky TV and comfortable5 stars all day.

Great place with small yet clean and comfortable rooms in easy walking distance to the train station. Renovated en suite baths are a nice touch. The breakfast is a good value. Friendly and accommodating staff. Recommended.

Great pub with a good variety of beers. Nice menu with tasty food. Monday quiz night was good fun. I stayed a couple nights and really enjoyed my time there, just wouldn't want to be there when very busy as the soundproofing wasn't great
