Nice staff, fun atmosphere and great place for dinner. We ended up ordering 3 rounds of food and it was amazing!

Worst japanese restaurant iv ever been in my hole life and ill tell ya my horrible experience in there: first of all, you need to pay first and the only option they give is to order by mobile device, then you have to create an acc, type down your credit card info and after that pay (forget about paypal). Things are totally over priced and portions are so tiny that wont satisfy a baby. Now, about quality things get even worse... Warm sodas / beer, and meals cannot be called japanese food in any way... Thats an insult to japanese culture. I did taste japanese food in lots of countries around the world and this one is, by far, the worst one. One advice: pick any other restaurant in union square

Given what seemed like the only broken seat in the house when the place was almost empty. The mangled led strip which lights up when your food arrives did not work correctly therefore the conveyor belt would stop at the table behind us. After watching what we though was our food take several circuits of the conveyor belt, the staff simply handed us our food whenever we ordered which is a shame since the conveyor belt, which let's be honest, is the only reason why you pay extraordinary prices for underwhelming food. This establishment is expensive and the portions and food disappointing.

The sushi is great and up to standard. The sashimi fish is fresh and fair enough. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Just one unusual common issue, always out of hot items whenever I visit this place. Not sure why

Would rate zero star if possible. Ordered a Deliveroo for myself and my partner tonight. Spent £34.00 on a two katsu curries that had 3 bits of chicken between them and not even a tea spoon worth of sauce on either of them. Considering these tiny portions are £7.00 each, you would expect the staff to have the courtesy to properly sauce what I am struggling to call a ‘curry’ it was sticky rice with a bit of cold chicken. We ordered two sets of sushi rolls, both hard as rocks, we suspect they’ve been sitting in the ‘sushi to go’ fridge at the front of the restaurant and not freshly prepared. We also got no wasabi or soy sauce which is ridiculous having spent almost £40. Deliveroo were much more helpful than the restaurant itself. We were given a full refund by Deliveroo however the restaurant managers excuse was ‘sorry we have a new team’. This isn’t an excuse, surely this team would have to have sufficient training? This is sloppy work and just sad, each order we’ve received recently has been worst than the last. We will not be supporting this business any longer. Train your staff correctly in future or at least have the decency to quality check the food before it heads out for delivery. What a waste of time and money.

To be honest, I'm struggling to give this even one star. Expensive for poor quality food including undercooked chicken, ), cold chips and warm sushi. Floor is absolutely lethal as it is so slippy and our reserved table hadn't been cleaned properly (dried and crusted sauce clearly visible). Really disappointing and staff not interested in the sit in customers. No interactions at all and when the belt lit up green with no food there, reception from staff was surly at best as if we were an inconvenience.

I used to love Yo Sushi but I don’t understand what happened lately. Sushi often falls apart and it is really hart to eat properly with chopsticks now. Everything was better in the last few years! Fishes inside the sushi are also not looking fresh and delicious when you open the lid. Prices also not affordable for that kind of sushi.Once I have ordered 4 plates but they brought me 3 instead of 4. When I told them that, they said they will check my order. Nobody said sorry etc., just brought me one more plate. I felt like it was my fault!I get an email asking my opinions when I leave the restaurant. I already wrote there 2 times but just nothing happened. No improvement at all. I’m looking for another places to eat proper sushi in Aberdeen now.

Spent at least £60 pounds on what turn out to be low quality food. I ordered a ramen in thinking it would come in a big size bowl instead I received a sharing bowl size which for the price was not worth it the presentation was also abysmal feel like people working there didn't care or put in much effort into it - no love whatsoever. I ordered two miso soups that never came. literally the worst experience ever for those who are sushi lovers I would not recommend this place there are better sushi restaurants in Aberdeen. Don't bother you'll regret it

Have visited Yo! before and had great food and service.Visited today however (19 Nov 2021) and whilst sitting beside the kitchen and got to see the chef who was clearly unwell coughing all over the utensils, open containers of food and dishes before they were placed on the carousel. We left immediately and mentioned it to a member of staff who seemed not to care before showing another couple to our freshly vacated table.Very poor.

I haven't been to Yo for a while but in memory it's never been this bad. I order a seafood raman and I feel like I just drank a cup of salt. So I thought I'll order sushi to wash it down and that was a disappointment! If you want to go to Yo dont come to this one. Just full of disappointment! :(
