Fantastic food and very friendly service.Specials were good with seafood choices or lamb chops. Portions a little small but that means there's room for homemade sweets. Tiramisu and Sticky Toffee Pudding the evening we were in.Highly recommended for a relaxed, pleasant evening that doesn't cost the earth.

There is something I really like about Gino's for a lunch.

·

Went for morning coffee and snack, not overly busy, staff polite and friendly.

Very tasty... most enjoyable night... Made very welcome...

Garlic Bread and homemade lasagna were excellent. However the pizza can use more work. The restaurant is small, cozy and we'll decorated and the staff are friendly!

Portions are generous but the tomato and mozzarella salad had watery and tasteless tomato slices and the balsamic dressing lacked zing. However the pasta arabiatta was garlicky with a bit of chilli heat and was perfectly al dente. There were few diners making for a quiet atmosphere, the house red wine was pleasant enough and the coffee strong and good. My husband enjoyed his bruschetta 2 large pieces and followed it up with lamb cutlets - 4 chops with a dish of veg. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity.

First visit in years and won't be back. First waitress doesn't know what beer is out of stock. Then the food arrives and the veal looked very unappetising, mine was very underwhelming for being a special and definitely not worth £16 and other 2 dishes look fine but turns out the chicken was raw in the middle. My husband didn't want to make a fuss but we couldn't catch either waitress' attention anyway. Gino obviously has regulars and welcomed a table of regulars personally. However we weren't acknowledged. when told about our raw chicken he apologies and offers a free beer and to take the meal off our bill. We thought this was fine but then we get the bill and the two drinks have been taken off (others tap water) but not the chicken. We question this and are offered another £2 off which we declined. The bill is then edited, drinks put back on and the raw chicken meal taken off. So not only was the food inedible but we had to beg to not pay for it. Not a good experience.

Gino's has become a bit of a tradition in my family: most weekends I will meet my parents here for lunch. The menu is straightforward: either simple lunchtime staples such as baguettes and baked potatoes, or classic Italian dishes. There is plenty of choice on the normal menu and usually a couple of specials as well, which tend to be a bit more 'exotic' (lobster linguine with garlic, chilli, white wine and cherry tomatoes, for example). The bruschetta is excellent: crusty bread with well seasoned tomatoes, basil and garlic.I usually have the penne arribiata, which has a nice chilli kick to it (if you like it spicy, always best to mention that).Rounded off with a soft drink and a double espresso for approx. £15, it is definitely value for money.Staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and all covid-19 precautions are taken. It may be a smaller restaurant, but the tables are still well spaced out.

Very nice meals small menu but the courses we had were fresh flavourful, good portions, very good 1/2 carafe red wine, 2 courses each and wine at a reasonable price. Sign in book plus sanitiser, kept us spaced from others. Nice relaxed attentive service good food, made for an enjoyable evening. Ps book a table they were busy.

Wonderful Italian Cafe in Stonehaven. The host was courteous. The Pizza Salame was good. It wasn't busy by the time we went there and the staff followed proper track and trace and safety measures. Its worth giving a try.
