1st Jan 2022, called in for hot drinks. They do not do toasties etc. 2 x tea and 1 hot chocolate drink. Got shortbread which was like saw dust and 2 x chips. They had been cooked and recooked and disgusting. Only managed to eat half a bowl. Paid bill and informed waitress of my major disappointment. Most certainly will not recommend this place.

Really good food, pub grub ++ Just the very best, light, melt in mouth battered haddock, tastiest haggis bon bons. Beer was fine too. Just the job after a breezy beach walk.

This is an old hotel in Aberdeenshire where the story of Dracula was created. It is not far from Slains Castle where the story for Dracula was inspired. They are only doing meals for people staying at the hotel at the moment. There us a litte cabinet with items for sale. Little antiques and vintage pieces.I got the good Lion signet ring for £10 and the little antique Zebra also for £10.A short walk to the beach. A very clean sandy beach. There is a grocery shop and a pharmacy and a Post Office.

Great food, great service, very reasonably priced too! Love the wee room converted from a stair case!

I stayed at the hotel over the weekend while golfing in Aberdeenshire. The room was clean and well appointed. The real stand out for me was the level of service provided by all the staff that were on duty. We were very well looked after and the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The staff also had a great sense of humour which added to the overall experience. If you’re golfing in the area and are looking for a great place to stay this will definitely tick all the boxes.

Had the pleasure of staying here for six nights on a work trip and couldn’t recommend the place highly enough. Really good atmosphere in the bar and lounge every night, fantastic food, polite and friendly staff and my room was clean, spacious and warm. 10/10!

Absolutely fabulous. Christmas meal was truly scrumptious! Staff were extremely attentive and there were no time restrictions, so meal was served at appropriate stages to allow for digestion. Our party would highly recommend The Kilmarnock Arms for the perfect family dining experience. Thank you for making Christmas 2018 so memorable x

Good variety on menu, great value and generous portions. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with polite, friendly staff. Recommended to visit for a bar lunch by a friend and wasn't disappointed! Might need to plan an overnight stay to sample the extensive whisky menu though.

Served by a very friendly staff member and had the restaurant area almost to ourselves. Food is expensive but not overpriced, it felt very reasonable considering portions were fairly large and the quality was stunning. Short wait times. The hotel itself is pretty with historical artwork of the local area.
