We had a lovely meal and few drinks at the anchor Hotel. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Try the fish pie, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely! We had not booked but they opened up the upstairs part for our party of six. Great menu, lots of fresh fish options. Friendly and efficient service. Worth going out if your way for.

Absolutely outstanding food. Fresh, flavoursome and well presented. Portion size was just right. Service was second to none. Would highly recommend the anchor Hotel!

Great wee place for food. We popped in on the off chance we could grab some food and a beer. We were lucky as we got there early enough or we wouldn't have got a table unless we booked. Its a busy place. Food great and reasonable prices and the staff are lovely. We could take our 2 wee dogs in too which was brilliant and the lady brought us a bowl of water for them.I would definitely recommend it 👌

Another lovely meal at the Anchor. Called ahead to book and we were told they were full. Took a chance on stopping in as we were passing by anyway and got lucky, they just needed the table back by a certain time, which worked for us. They do a great haddock mornay.

Really enjoy going to the Anchor. Food is always delicious 😋 Nice lunch, warm atmosphere, and love that it's dog friendly, just what we needed at the half way point of our walk. Thank you to you all for our warm Friendly welcome 😊

Very atmospheric old hotel/pub. Excellent menu with good choice of local fresh fish + plus specials. Helpful staff. Set in Old fishing village with interesting walks.

A very warm, and friendly, greeting when we arrived. This was followed by courteous and efficient service. The wait for our food once it was ordered was not long. Our food was very tasty, hot enough, and a perfect portion size. The atmosphere was ideally relaxing, and the background music was not too intrusive into customer conversations. Thoroughly recommend a visit

Brilliant overnight stay! We wanted a night out of town and I had been recommended The Anchor after my sister had been in for lunch. We booked a night, very reasonable at £50, and had a delicious meal in the restaurant. The fish stew was superb and my partners pan fried sea bass superb also. The lovely breakfast, just £10pp, in the morning set us up for the day.All the staff were super friendly and Gary was welcoming and obviously keen to ensure you had a great time, which we did! Look forward to returning!Richard & Nathan

On our two visits the food has been delicious. The fish being fresh and succulent. The pizza was also just how it should be with a thin crunchy crust not turned soggy by too much topping. Our young boys and our puppy were made very welcome and the service was friendly and efficient. Not the cheapest place to eat but quality costs.
