Nice fish and chips but not as outstanding as I though they were going to be.

wow. Great place with the incredible fried mars bar. I had enough oil intake for the rest of the year. The service is quite fast too despite the largr number of people waiting. Quite impressive I must say. Anyway, would recommend and do again. 10/10

The Carron certainly lives up to its reputation of serving the best fish and chips in Scotland. The staff were lovely and our order was very prompt. The fish and chips were perfect. The deep fried Mars bar was particularly good with a crispy, crunchy exterior and melting, gooey middle. The curry sauce and homemade tartar sauce were also fantastic. 10/10

Walked from Dunnottar Castle and ended up outside this chip shop in Stonehaven. Fantastic haddock n scraps (why no cod anymore)? But fantastic product and staff were amazing. Loved the fish and the town.

Excellent fish and chips, well worth the wait!The fish batter is nice and crisp whilst the fish was nicely moist. The chips were spot on and we had salt and vinegar!Not so sure about deep fried mars bars but others in our group liked them. 😉

Lovely fish and chips from here. I was greedy and also got 2 x battered Mars bars for me and the Mrs to have, one thing I would say is i found it a tad expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for. Anyway i can't fault the food and the service was pretty quick.

Well... it's the birthplace of the world famous deep-fried Mars bar which tastes awesome btw. Try the snickers as well... Their fish and chips were good too... It's located right by the sea, so you can sit by the sea and enjoy the food.

Great service, reasonable priced food. Phone orders welcome. Parking availability poor.Food is really good, usual chippy menu never had any issues. Daughter likes the kids options and the fish supper, curry sauce & Burgers are all great.
