Great night room staff and food.

Great stay nice staff comfy room. Really friendly bar maid made my afternoon very pleasant lots better than the Aberdeen Arms

Lovely place great staff always there to help food was amazing and the room was a good size and very clean definitely stay there again

Very spacious room with a lovely view of the hills.Drink in the bar which had the atmosphere of a great local.Food in the restaurant was great value and of a very high standard. Also all staff made you feel very welcome.Would recommend this to anyone visiting the area be it for one night or longer

Avoid the rice pudding, large bit of plastic which cut my gum. Rooms were nice and well equipped some staff were great (lady who deals with breakfast was 5*) others were very rude and obnoxious. I was accused of stealing a light bulb because I moved one from the chandelier to the wall light (which had no bulbs in) don't appreciate being branded a thief your customers are your business and should really be made to feel more comfortable. This isn't a slanderous review this is an honest review of my experience, really disappointed as were my colleagues.

Unfortunately my work vehicle had broken down in ballater,but to my own better fortune my work managed to get me booked into the commercial hotel 🏨,and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were very nice and welcoming,the food was great, decent menu for choices,the room was more than adequate,very,clean,very tidy, good shower,TV, dvd player, always comes in handy!!! But the main thing that stood out was the pub/bar,the locals were first class,they were very sociable,and full of good banter!!!,and that for me made the difference.plus the sell a lovely pint of Guinness,and a lovely wee drambuie to go along, which always helps!!!😜 There's a pool table and dart boards,and restaurant area for a nice meal if you prefer that to sitting in the bar,so this place has the best of both worlds. So here's hoping I break down soon...😂cause I'll definitely be back, to such a braw wee place, which is full of heart and good spirit."Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022"

Amazing meal here! Reasonably priced since you get an absolute mammoth portion! Food was all fresh and hot. We ordered the Malaysian curry, fish ( baby whales 😂) and the Prince Charlie chicken. Best meal I've had in a while.Staff are all very attentive and pleasant.Will definitely be back!

Terrific! Great atmosphere and we both loved the food. Food servings were generous and so accurately priced. Menu on the whole was well varied with excellent options for vegetarians (highly recommend the mushroom and ale pie). Staff were very welcoming and friendly, honestly no fault to find. Unsure if there is parking dedicated fir the venue as we were already parked elsewhere but there is some limited parking in the square outside. Absolute gem. We will be back soon.

Food was good. Took ages to come well over 35 mins. Not sure about the crispy nan bread though with the curry and a side dish of mango chutney. Fish and chips were aw right. Service was lack luster with a trainee waiter who was trying his best . No one double checked the waiter if everything was OK . Stella could have been colder. . Worst was final bill had stuff that we didn't order amounting to £13 overcharge. Thats out of order. Were it not for the error on the bill I would have given a 2.5 star. If say for the food we had it was a tad overpriced.
